Or Hank.  Keep us posted on the whereabouts of Baby Hank.  (I have three pigeons named Hank already so it's easy for me to remember)

I'm so excited.  What a dreadfully cool couple of days.  Babies being born, people getting engaged, Halloween around the corner, Xmas down the road, blue pills... I can't wait to see what happens next.  This is the most excitement I've had since I fell down the steps at Heathrow!

Someone tried to give me a kitten today, I resisted mostly due to the fact it didn't look like a Signe, and that's the name of my next cat.

As for the girl, she is a fine looking individual that none of you will likely ever get to meet if I have my way.

Ingmar posted the link but basically if you have your own server and you were just using postini for email filtering or any of the other services you are screwed.  It looks like they do not want to sell products that allow people to use their own servers anymore.  Which is curious since they have 26 million customers under the postini banner.  Also it does look like they are eliminating the spam filter engine that they were using with postini and just switching whole hog to google aps.  They have a line in the faq saying that the filter will work differently and to keep an eye out.

Shrug I knew it was just a matter of time but still this is going to be a pain since the alternatives out there are not that good or really expensive.

If you're using Exchange, Forefront is pretty much in the same price range as Postini I believe.

Forefront is almost 4 times the cost per user as postini.  We had a sweetheart deal and it only cost us around 50 cents a user.

That's remarkably low - list is $25/user/year I believe.

Like I said we had a sweetheart deal with postini which is part of the reason this is going to be annoying.   Ironwood, Yea we have our own exchange server so office365 is not really a option :).

Was that price grandfathered from pre-google postini?

Our pre-Google Postini price was like 1.90/user after discounts, so someone pulled some *really* impressive strings to get that pricing. Or Hammond works somewhere with 150,000 accounts. Or both.

Original re-seller contract grandfathered in and the re-seller gave it to us at cost.. And actually I was wrong it was 52 cents sorry.   The account was originally started in 2000 and the pricing has not changed much.

Forefront sends to local Exchange.  I'm wondering if pennies to purchase a single 365 mailbox and then configuring forefront to route locally.

Just a thought.

You could rephrase that sort of thing into threats.  "If you guys do this:  blah blah blah, you're bastards".  It even solves two things.   You're boss can't get mad at you because then he'd be a bastard and you reiterate that everyone else is also a bastard.  There's more than two wins in that, I reckon.

Congrats on the new tax deduction, ghost!  DRILLING AND MANLINESS

Just got a call from my mom - my sister-in-law's mom died suddenly this morning. She'd been having some health issues lately and last month suddenly became paralyzed from the waist down. Her husband brought her home from the hospital a week ago after rehab and then this.  sad sad sad

Sorry to hear that.  What age ?

In entirely unrelated news, The Thing prequel was utter shite, but I can't be bothered bumping a thread over a year old to say so.

Hey, I made a thread for Dorf on Golf.  Turns out that is the best one of the four I have watched.  Didn't make it through Dorf Does Autoracing.
