For any of you who manage Google apps.

Is anyone having issues sharing documents or sites with non-google mail users? Like for instance, a Hotmail user or some other non-google mail. I have users reporting that they are asked to make a google account ( NOT a g-mail ), or in the case of sites, that after the first visit, they cant get back on to the site itself.

It seems completely contrary to what it is supposed to do.

Yes that's normal. They have to authenticate somehow for Google Apps to know that they're the person you intended to share the document with.

As far as I know, yes. We're only just starting to use it ourselves. I don't see how they could actually claim the documents are secure without requiring authentication. Otherwise someone could just pass the link around and ta-da, your private stuff is public.

Right. Not disputing that. Im just trying to connect what they are saying to what we assumed would be when a doc or site is shared.

Here is a discussion on it.  To summerize you need a google docs account if privacy is turned on.  The google docs account can be setup using another email address other than a gmail one. Otherwise you can share it with "anyone with the link" (they explain more in this link)
https://groups.google.com/a/googleproductforums.com/forum/#!category-topic/docs/documents/XIDaWYQQbVo

Also here is the google account signup page for other email addresses...

So I'm walking through the mall yesterday when I duck in to a Toys R Us Express store. Just browsing while I'm waiting for a pick up order.
I notice a section of toys based on Cars 2. Catches my eye due to my nephew's infatuation with the franchise.

I shit you not, two out of every three toy line they had for Cars 2, had the character Cars outfitted with rocket launchers and machine guns.

Yeah, I saw that down in York last year with Elena at the Disney Store.

I hadn't seen the film, so I assumed that they got 'pimped' at some point and this was merely that mode.

I didn't like it much and I didn't really want to watch the film after that.  Elena is a massive fan of the Car Shorts with the Truck (Sorry, I forget his name, but if he's Lyin' he's Cryin') and I don't approve of Teh Echhhsstreeeem.

'Mater.

Like Toe'mater without the tow!  Yup.

They put all the guns and crap on them because Mater got pimped out with them towards the end of his awkwardly shoehorned-in spy story.   Clearly you can't have just ONE car with guns, they ALL need them.

Well, first trip back to New Orleans since Katrina came through.  I'm glad to see that it appears to mostly be back to normal.

Also, I hate meetings.  A lot.

Did you go to the east-side of the city?  That's where the devastation was most staggering when I toured the city.  Is Meterie still packed?
