I remember that Lightning never played nicely with Outlook calendar events, has that been fixed now?

How are you migrating the data ?
Me, I'm doing it one mailbox at a time through Outlook because THERE'S NO OTHER WAY.
That seems very odd, can't you script it all in powershell and do stuff like this, using new-mailboxexportrequest? Maybe I'm not understanding correctly, not touched exchange for years.

The exchange data store can be queried like any other data source... I suppose the work vs. reward scale on working out a solution using that would depend on how many mailboxes you had to move. What I'm wondering is: is there some good email system out there?
Of course there is, there are good mail systems for administrators and good mail systems for users but there just aren't any good mail systems for users and administrators ;)

Strangely enough, the default mac mail has been fantastic for me. Seacrh works and is actually responsive (fuck you, outlook), it seems to handle huge uh, whatever the mac equiv of the .pst file is, it does IMAP, threading, and all in all is a slick piece of software that I haven't had any problems with since I switched to it a year or so ago. I tried thunderbird but didn't like it (I want a thickclient) and came from outlook (the most horrible of programs).

It still doesn't, unfortunately. Or rather, it works *sometimes*. It handles standard (ICS) calendar events fine, though.

He's thinks you can do it via a command line too, it just might not be worth the effort of figuring it out if you only have a few to do. (Well, it made perfect sense to me)

It only makes sense if you assume I'm the daftest cunt to come up the Clyde.
You can't do it via the command line/Powershell because Microsoft broke it for 2010 and Office365. You're essentially fucked.
And his comment reminded me of the Microsoft Joke about the Hot Air Balloon.

Any mathematician that tells you that he can derive big ass formulas in his head, as all rockstar ones seem to do, tell them to fuck off. Goddamn liars. I needed to find out the inverse of a logarithmic function I'm using in an app. I had to resort to Maple. You don't do that shit in your head. Even if you're Stephen Hawking. http://www.storageserver.be/images/fuckmath.pngFuck math.

At times like this I am sad I decided to more or less ignore the last classes of math during my time at school. I passed the classes, but I can't say I remember any of that shit. Nowadays I find stuff like that almost interesting and soothing. I might have brain damage.

Yeah, the aggregators are really making their search annoying to use. I keep blacklisting them as I come across them, but there's so damn much. Hell, I've even ran into several <randomnumbers>.com domains earlier. What is the exact problem you're working on?
Why Silverlight on WP7.1 is being gay and refuses to load bitmaps the way it merrily worked in WP7.0. And then I tried to figure out why recorded audio with SL is way lower volume than recorded audio from XNA. Within one year, Microsoft managed to break at least one damn simple and widely used API and introduce confusing behavior across two theoretically similar APIs. I knew why I let Windows Phone development rest the last few months.

Yeah, that's the weirdest logarithmic function I've seen in a while. Heh.

One function is 90% log and 10% linear, to stretch a FFT in a way that it doesn't render the bottom half of the graph with just the first 100hz of the spectrum. That function is relatively easy. I need the inverse of that function for mapping other UI controls, and that one's the fucked up one. I was especially delighted when it spit out that LambertW, whatever the fuck that is. Took me a while to dig out code on the web that does that.
Bah, the sun shines. Now I don't have an excuse to not go out for a run today.

One well placed bomb in the fault like would take care of everything. Then we just need to sell Texas to Mexico and the US will have solved 90% of its problems.

Lost power on Saturday night for a few hours, which includes heat (great deal on electric rates).... on the night that the high was 2 degrees F. Shit got chilly fast. We've had below zero mornings the last few days.

So while I understand that we were very lucky with how mild winter had been around here so far, it's a bit cruel to be dealing with this sloppy, crappy rain-sleet-snow garbage now. It's just not fair! Come back 40 degree days!

Bah. Doesn't matter that it's supposed to be back in the 40s by the weekend. It's doing that rainy/sleety thing now that's almost-but-not-quite snow. And windy. It's the icky winter weather, not the pretty clear-sunny-day-with-snow-on-the-ground or the chilly-day-with-snow-falling weather. And WTF is with this help desk? How many different ways can I say "I do not have access to the part of the SRM module that I need" so they will understand. I keep getting responses back from the security team saying "I show that you have been assigned the SRM roles that you have been mapped to. If you feel you need additional roles, please contact your Divisional OCM Lead. I will close this ticket." without once actually speaking with me and finding out exactly what problem I'm having. I can log into the SRM module just fine, but once there have nothing I can do (the tabs for doing anything - like creating a requisition - are missing) and that's what I need fixed. Not to mention I have no idea who or what my "OCM Lead" is.
