I feel like Microsoft is missing out on a brand opportunity if they don't put out MSSL and fast.
Yeah maybe they can make up for not offering an sftp solution for the last 15 years... not!

Decided to clean my Rdio playlists, prepping for summer music. Why the hell do I have Best of Asia: Heat of the Moment saved to a playlist 27 times? I mean, what kind of drunken stupor caused my to think I needed Asia anywhere in my playlist? Sounds like a booty mix.

Hey, Sky! That quote in your signature? I don't believe I ever said that. If I did, I was lying. I have seen penises on several occasions.

Yay for subscription services that go to update, shit themselves and then uninstall.
'Cause that's not fucking horrible or anything.

So far, no one has told me that getting into voiceover work is a bad idea. At least two of these people believe I am serious about it.

Know what's better? Products that disassociate themselves from their file extensions with certain Windows updates and break the registry so that you have to uninstall and reinstall the whole suite to fix it. Thanks, Adobe.

The lack of having to worry about openSSL is one of the few good things about having not upgraded from 5.1 to 5.5 on our VMware cluster.

I would LOVE to do something like that. I am weird in that I have a totally shit regular voice, but am a really good mimic. You should totally do this.

That would be amazingly fun! And you'd have to do it in front of a camera so it would be amazingly fun for us, too! I say give it a go because, well, why not?

The whole thing about voiceovers is that cameras are almost never involved.

I replaced my desk chair. It has not lived up to my expectations. Stupid thing sinks down to the floor half the time, because I'm apparently too far for an adjustable chair unless I sit just right.
What I want is what I have at work -- which apparently costs 300+ dollars, not that it looks like it.
Other than Ebay, any places to look for decent office chairs? The heavy-duty, hard-wearing ones that lean back? I'm not looking for Aeron chairs here. Hell, as long as it's clean I don't even care if it's worn.

Good chairs cost money, so I can only suggest craigslist or ebay.

One of the downsides to working in a library..I've been sitting in the same crappy $50 chair for 13 years or so.

I once had a very nice-looking Ikea desk chair collapse underneath me. I was never THAT overweight.
So yeah, don't go cheap.

That's the problem with chairs you put together yourself. I've never tightened a screw so tight that it doesn't eventually loosen up and fall out when I'm putting together a chair.

Boss at 10am: I need something written. Me: Okay (finishing priority work). Boss: I need it by 12. Me: Okay (start 11:15am for 11:45am deadline). Boss: I need it by 11:30am. Me: Okay! Boss at 11:23am: I need it at 11:23am. Me: It's not finished. Boss: SEND IT NOW! Me: (send one sentence of fail, look around for sympathy, discover everyone else did it at 11am, curl up and die) Me: (send complete and polished version 11:40am) Boss: (silence) Me: (vent)
