Asshole landlord reneged on our verbal lease extension. Lease is up in October and she told us a few weeks ago she was going to extend it through March and then put it up for sale. We got the 4:30pm email today that she's putting it on the market in a week, so we also have to deal with her trying to show the place while we live in it. Now we're stuck trying to find a place in the same neighborhood so the kid can still attend the same school.
WTF is wrong with people? If you say you're going to do something, fucking do it. This shit wasn't a big deal before we had a kid. Now it's a major pain in the ass.
I've been holding on this post to make sure I didn't take this to near-Nerf levels. Luckily everything has worked out for the best (so far), but until now the last three months have been absolute shit. Our landlord let us out of the end of the lease from place #1 in late July and we quickly found and moved into place #2. It's hard finding a landlord that will take a German Shepard and three cats, so we took the first rental we found. Everything seemed legit and the guy fixed the property up nicely. However, there were some really weird inconsistencies to his story before we signed the lease that had us wondering what we got ourselves into. My wife ran a background on the landlord and it came up pretty clean. With potential eviction looming on place #1, we said 'fuck it' and moved to place #2. We were in place #2 for a month when the landlord calls and wants to enter the property to "have the property appraised", which is landlord speak for "I didn't tell you I'm going through bankruptcy and you're now squatters". Two days after the appraisal, we're told that the lease we signed was void because the landlord didn't have rights to the property and we need to leave. Everything is handed over to the bankruptcy trustee who also informs us that we need to leave ASAP because we're now squatting on the property. There are parts of this I can't discuss yet because we're likely going to be in court over our deposits that were taken on our now non-existent lease. I'll be sure to update when things are resolved, because I almost went off the deep end on some people. At one point I responded to a request for bank representatives to enter the property with a very sincere threat which got some folks pretty heated. At another point the property had an offer on it and the potential buyers were pushing to have us immediately evicted. W.T.F.? On the upside, we said 'fuck it' again and bought a house. This is the first home we've owned that both of us really, really like. We started looking through Redfin (awesome experience) and within two days we made an offer. We closed three weeks later and we moved into the new place last weekend. Finally. Now if we can sell the property back in Ohio, we'll be golden. What a ride. |

I would assume that if you're taking meticulous care of your pool you're probably using it regularly for exercise, and if you are exercising regularly you are more likely to be interested in health supplements.

The only thing I never going that other guards did was a cat. In other news, after being in. NYC, Chicago and Philly in the span of the last 48 hours, I can't recommend chartered flights enough. |
