Oddly, I haven't received a press release yet, but www.everybody-dies.com has had the roadmap updated. The official final release date is now September 29th at 6 PM GMT. Edit: Apparently you can also preorder the IV Store version (direct from Introversion) for £10 (~$17.50) and you'll receive the boxed copy/manual as well as the digital download. Post-launch, the boxed copy version will be £15.00. |

Just out of curiousity - Can I get Defcon from Steam, if I don't own any product that uses it? I mean can I go somewhere, download steam and use it just to get Defcon and Darwinia, for example.

Purchased it as soon as the thing popped up when I logged into Steam this morning. Didn't even bother to find out when the release date was, I just said "$10 for a game that will make me so paranoid a nuclear war that I'll shit myself every time Ahmadinejad Kim Jong-il burps? YOU'VE GOT A DEAL."
The teaser trailer is pretty awesome as well, "It's global thermo-nuclear war. Nobody wins, but maybe you can lose the least."

Yes. There will be Much Nukage. MUCH.
And yeah, the trailer is bad-ass. The British accent really sells it. Too bad they haven't put a trailer up on Steam, it'd probably help their sales a good bit.
