Is it possible? For instance one of you had a screenshot of a scarf as a cape piece, which I've never seen on my COH character. Do I have to buy COV for the extra costumes? Is there any overlap?

There was a little bit of overlap while I was playing CoH/V, and I hear that there has been even more.  I would think that some of the more evil looking bits would be exclusive to CoV, but I don't know how much it's changed recently.  I, for one, don't mind heroes having evil looking costumes because there's that whole anti-hero hero thing in comics, right?  I did see some posts while I was still subbed where people complained bitterly about cross over costume pieces.

If you have both, all the costume pieces are available in either game.

Hahahaha!  I'm really good at this!

Only thing you can't get are the Arachnos symbol and the Arachnos helmets exclusive to villains who bought the Collector's Edition of CoV.  Everything else is available to heroes, as long as you own CoV.

Well, guess I better go spend another $20 and get COV then eh?

The helmets are actually COV preorder items.  its only the symbol/cape that is a collector edition item(s).  Just thought I'd clarify that.

Makes sense.  I didn't pre-order, almost never do.

I'm guessing they'll be available eventually anyways as veteran rewards, a la the pre-order sprints.

You can wear the Arachnos cape on your CoH hero if you have the CoV CE key attached to your CoH account.

Yes, which is why there are threads on the forums asking for the symbol to be different if being worn by Heroes. However some people want to keep it that way since it gives them a chance to "role play" ex-villians.

I wouldn't have thought an ex-villain would continue to wear the symbol.

But it'd be neat to have the symbol with a slash through it.

Confirmed: I can use the Arachnos helmet on my heroes.

Not that I ever would.  It has a skin-colored neck on it that does not mesh up with most armored heroes.
