Dead Rising Demo is on Xbox Live

If you didn't download it yet, you really should. It's pretty much the first 360 exclusive that you Must Play.

I agree with the robot.  Running around with a lego (duplay?) hat on, sledge hammering zombies is a good time.  The mall reminds me of State of Emergency, the layout, not the detail.  The sheer amount of zombies is awesome.

oh god how did this get here I am not good with computer

It really does seem like a positively endless supply of zombies. The first time I played, I pretty much just ran as far in every direction I could around the mall and took pictures and it was just STAGGERING. None of the screenshots do it justice. It flabbergasts me how Capcom can't make a better Dynasty Warriors.

Also, I'll say this though I was going to wait til the review. It really seems like Dead Rising was practice for shit with Resident Evil. The over the shoulder targeting mode with the rifle and handguns works a lot better here.

Dead Rising has crafting!  I made a smoothie.

You can also crowd-walk on top of the zombies!  Jump when you are close to a zombie, and you'll get up on its shoulders, then move around all slow (gotta be a pack) you can walk from zombie shoulder to zombie shoulder.  They must like it, cause they get all peaceful-like.  It's like a massage.

This game is like next Tuesday right?  Definately the first "must have" for me.

Was checking it out as my bro played it on his 360.  Aside from the sheer number of zombies, I was pretty floored by the sheer detail of the mall.  I like how they tried to put in some immersive interaction with elements, like what happens if you leave a frying pan on a burner for too long and then apply the result to some zombies.

The demo is great, but I am not sure I need much more than the demo.  I could care less about the story, I just like taking out zombies with crazy stuff.  My friend is already planning on becoming an addict so I may get drawn in, but the demo might be too good for its own good.

Anyone care to throw me a 20 second synopsis or link me to a tech review ?

A tech review of killing zombies?

Katanas and guns do the trick. But a potted plant works perfectly in a pinch.

It always bothers me when a game really lets you get creative and some dumbass says "But all you really need is the shotgun, I don't know why they put in all that other stuff." The point is that uncreative people who like to blow through games can just use the shotgun. The rest of us can get our creative stench-annihilation on.

+2 for the alliteration, though.

Do not open your Chromehounds disk till you get online.  It is like 2 different games, and the offline kinda sucks.

I'm gonna play through it (totally and completely) over the next two or three days. Thoughts incoming, etc.

Thoughts incoming, etc.

That's like sucking your thoughts back into your head.  That sounds painful.  Thoughts should come out, not go in.  I don't know what is going to happen to you.   huh

More likely that big gnarly nasty teeth will be incoming towards his brain.

Though from what I remember playing the demo, they were chewing on my shoulders more often.
