Oki, this is probably pretty dumb, but it's been plaguing me since December.
I got a Logitech MX3000 Keyboard and Mouse from the inlaws for Christmas, who, unlike the chagrin with which my wife meets it, fully supports my gaming habits. Maybe they think I'll train their two grandkids or something.
Anyway, I love the thing for all its features, but it has two idiosynchricies:
1) Every time I start up the computer, it doesn't think there's a Keyboard there. A message appears at the bottom of that text-only screen many of us get at Startup, but which most times just gets replaced by the Windows graphic screen. In my case though, I get a message that says no keyboard is there and am told to press F1 when I have a keyboard plugged in. Oddly enough, all I have to do is press F1 on my wireless keyboard and the computer recognizes it. No big deal there, just something I didn't expect; however:
2) Whenever i unplug and move the CPU somewhere, or lose power to it at all, I can't start the computer up with the wireless keyboard. I need to plug in my old wired keyboard, complete a boot up, use the Connect functions to connect the wireless stuff to the machine, shut down, unplug the wired keyboard, startup and get to #1 above again.
What's up with that?!

Does it come with it's own wireless thingy or is it bluetooth?

I bet you anything the wireless relay is a USB device. Make sure that in BIOS (the start up configuration settings screen you can access direcly at boot), you have USB keyboard and/or mouse enabled or 'support enabled'. You may not even find the option, since that depends somewhat on the age of your computer.

I should get back to nature, too. You know, like going to a shop for groceries instead of the computer. Maybe a condo in the woods that doesn't even have a health club or restaurant attached. Buy a car with only two cup holders or something. -Signe

Oh, hey, good point. My old keyboard is ADB. I'll check the Bios, though the computer is about 4 1/4 years old.
Viin, there's the keyboard, mouse and a device that plugs into a USB port. They all talk over RF.

You should be able to turn off keyboard errs as well.
