The only time I read Grimwell anymore is when I need a good night's sleep. It must have been more interesting, or at least busier, at some point or how would I even remember it? At least that thread didn't make me yawn.

I don't remember asking him for help understanding much, but for the majority of AGC I was hammered. But I do remember calling his boss at Gamergod a piece of shit, the website a piece of shit, and I'm fairly certain I called Grimwell (the website) a den of mental masturbation. Also, I'm fairly sure I called Grimwell himself the worst kind of sell out (a site with Horizons ads? wha?) after I ended up at a dinner with them and David Bowman, Marc Laukien, and a few other buckets of assholes (though, I think the Pirates of the Burning Sea guys were there). I've nothing to hide, I still think GO is a lot of masturbatory bullshit and that the (ex? no clue) owner of Gamergod is a piece of shit.
Edit: Speaking of masturbatory bullshit, I would have loved to see GO deal with Mongoose.
Edit: I should make it clear that at this point, nearly a year later, that the Horizons ads were the stick in my eye. Signe, I think, is the only one here who knows how deep my hatred for David Bowman runs. At that dinner, had I not been drunk, there would have been giant anime-like fists pounding on people for orchestrating such an orgy of gaming failure. I mean the Wish guy and Bowman in the same place? Holy shit! That's just not right! And wait a minute, Grimwell has associated himself with these people? Gragahsdfasdfijdasofdjaso. While some people got the mean end of my drunkedness, others didn't. But I can tell you, I'm not a mean drunk. It took a very special situation to invoke that sort of anger from the cockl- nay, the subcockle area of my heart. More than that, Unknown Player had organized the dinner? It was as if things were just falling apart at the seams for that whole independent corner of the industry I've been known to stick up for on occasion. Basically, all that yelling I did at Mongoose for the sorts of people he associates - I should've done it to Grimwell and gotten his dollar-eyed head removed from his ass. BUT, I was drunk and content with ridiculing. Also, times were different. But more than that, shock and awe.

David Allen (the once Horizons designer, not the brilliant Aussie guitarist) seems quite volatile and more than possibly a little bitter, but I'd certainly tend to favor his version of events over Mr. Bowman's. Whatever else David Bowman has done, he appeared to be as honest with his paying customers as Mr. Moses Odiaka of the Union Bank of Nigeria.

I can't even look at the default green/gold layout and I made it. SmartBlue is a much nicer white/blue for the record. |

I like GO too, and I like f13. They're different flavors of a very small buffet of good sites/communities. Too bad you all don't get along, since for me at least, I don't see you in competition. f13 has its own cred and GO is also doing its own thing.

No contest. I pissed on Gamergod. This is another situation, just like Mongoose where not even the cleanest person (Grimwell in this case) could wash all of that blood off the walls.

The drama doesn't bother me anymore. I still like a good wank tho.
Before I got married I was a firm believer in delegation. Now I realise that if you want something done properly, you have to do it yourself.
(Incidentally, I seem to just be drifting these days derailing threads. This is not on purpose, but suggests something going on in the psyche.)
