HI, LERN2READ NUB. Really though, if you drank as much as I did at EFocus, you wouldn't remember either. But you would remember the part about her only being told to bring a pair of panties and socks to E3.

Why did Sony have to hire a booth babe to play Fiona, didn't they have that contest to find the real life one a while back?

Maybe they finally realized her gums were too big? I can't find the proper close-up at this time.

I never got up as far as the gums.

I seem to remember the actual costume they got her to wear after winning the contest was cheap as fuck tho.

The contest they had was for Antonia Bayle, from EQ2, not Firiona.  The chick who used to do Firiona had contacted them after she saw Parkinson's artwork, and disappeared around the time Keith left.  I always suspected she was a model he'd used and the whole "Omg, what a coincidnce! I look like her." thing was an act.

I was surprised at how well made the Firiona Vie and medusa costumes looked compared to most of the others I had seen in pictures.  With all the money being thrown around E3, couldn't the other companies afford real tailors or costume makers?

That's what professional costumes look like.  Even high-budget film/TV costumes look like total shit in person.

Yeah, it's always dissapointing to go see displays of movie props and costumes.  You always come away with the, "Well hell *I* could do that," feeling.

Sadly I have.  My first hand-made costume puts most of the ones I saw in pictures to shame, and my skills are not all that good (and my sewing machine is cheap).

Maybe the problem is that the people they hire for E3 are used to making them for stage or movies where lighting, perspective, etc. keeps their flaws hidden.  Whomever made the FV, medusa, and Enigma outfits actually knew how to make costumes seen in person.

There is no such thing as being to busy to get the phone number of a hot girl.

I was of course jumping on the Team America bandwagon, but if you want to take it seriously, I got a retort for ya :  That girl wasn't that hot.  I wouldn't have bothered my arse either.  Sure, she can hang her titties out a costume, but if your eyes get up higher than that, you'll notice she ain't much to write home about.

Perhaps the aforementioned booth babe found the article with her previously unknown Google-Fu skills and threatened to sue F13 LLC. Either that or schild and Firiona did exchange phone numbers and when she found out about the article, she threatened to "withhold favors" if he didn't remove it immediately. Or the other conspiracy theories... your choice.

Did the Lord of the Rings exhibit come through your town? It came through Houston awhile back -- now there's some professional shit. The costumes were gorgeous. (Hell, they did chain mail by slicing PVC pipe up thinly, hand plating it into chainmail, and then coating it in metal. Wasn't as heavy as actual chainmail, but looked just like it).

SERIOUSLY professional job. We're talking artwork and detail on places that simply could not be seen (like the undersides of straps and on clothes covered by armor. Sauraman's robes were a work of art. They looked simple and humble, but when you looked closesly -- fine material and intricate patterning all over it. Gandalf's were actually rough homespun looking stuff, but Sauroman was wearing robes that were as finely made as a King's would be.

It was all like that. I was amazed.

Now back to boobs.

I'm IN Houston.  I plan on moving into the Museum District at the beginning of the month in fact...

I did not have a chance to see the LotR exhibit, unfortunately.

I like NC.  I even told Righ that if the company he's working for now decides to pick up business there, we should move there for a year or so.  It's very pretty and you can find places by the water for reasonable prices.
