Wow, our society is way too freaking litigious now. It's becoming really hard to tell if it's the lawyers who are at fault or the stupid people who know there are lawyers to back them up with they step in dogshit.
I'm waiting for the inevitable Brown v. Dogshit case to pop up somewhere.
Assault? She should punch the lawyer in the nose and explain that's an assault. Seems the terms being applied a bit widely these days.
I think it's the fault of predatory lawyers trying to make OMGMONEY and dumbasses who think they should call the cops or sue anytime their world doesn't conform to their wishes.
My neighbor has called the cops on me several times for stupid things (the best one was a "verbal assault" I made on her...which was actually me stumbling out of my friend's bronco and calling him a scumbag for unleashing a nasty fart, I lolled at her, so did the poor cop). She actually started an investigation on me with animal control for harassing her dogs (I was trying to make nice with her pitbulls so they wouldn't attack me when they jumped the fence) that ended with her losing the dogs.
She's got new pit bulls that are troublesome and called the cops when I was shooting video of them to bolster my landlord's complaint.
It's fun in the ghetto. I feel bad for the cops, and the dogs. People are fucking broken.
