Looks like they've ironed out a lot of performance issues; that was pretty damn smooth, especially during the transitions between context levels. Looks like a much improved and less intrusive UI, as well as a much flashier and easier-to-control UFO.

I so hope they have this playable on the show floor.

I read somewhere that they are only going to show Spore behind closed doors but I haven't seen any confirmation of that.

Are they still planning to release this fall?  Because if they are, they should be past the closed-door stage by now.

Last time I was in EB, I got the guy behind the counter to show me his release schedule book. It said Feb 2007 for Spore. He also tried to get me to preorder. Silly EB.

I'm totally behind the 'when it's done' design ideal...but I can hardly wait for this one. It'sa gonna be a good'un.
