I just noticed the website was updated. The English site is gone mysteriously, but from what I can tell the game is in beta testing now.

For those who don't remember/know/care, Granado Espada is one of the only Korean MMORPGs I've seen so far that looks like it isn't a reskinned version of Lineage 2 or a anime-styled Habbo Hotel. Provided the Engrish website that is now gone wasn't lying, the game was supposed to take the LFG out of LFG by allowing you to make multiple characters and control them as a group in addition to grouping with other players in a more traditional fashion. Neat concept, but I was mostly interested in it for the setting and extremely impressive art (drawn, CG'd, and ingame). Sort of a Victorian theme with hints of steampunk and fantasy.

Here's hoping it isn't a pile of shit like um...all Korean MMORPGS. Sorry, those people have no taste in MMO games.

The english site disappeared about 4 months ago and it went into beta a good while ago. I've been checking up on it about once a week.

Here's the thread I made with pretty much the entire english site copy and pasted.

Yup I'm still following this game (just watched a trailer for it last week). The whole "solo but with computer-controller group members" concept intrigues me. The combat also looks suitable "epic" with lots and lots of baddies on the screen rather than the EQ/Diku-style of oodles of heroes all beating on one monster at a time.

Speaking of games in development, there was another game in development about the same time as we last had a thread about GE. It was turn based group combat game that you played against other people online, and your playstyle altered your guys skill path. One of the devs posted here a couple time, but I can't find it now. Does anyone remember what it was called?

I'll play if I can kill you and steal your ball gown, not because I want to wear it or anything but because I R GRIEFER HEAR ME ROAR.

Thanks for the reminder folks, both of those games did sound interesting way back when but I try not to involve myself in the "hype-stage" of game design anymore.  Hopefully they are at E3 in some form and our crack squad can score some beta passes or at least report back where they fall on the vapor-scale.

A nation consists of its laws. A nation does not consist of its situation at a given time. If an individual's morals are situational, then that individual is without morals. If a nation's laws are situational, that nation has no laws, and soon isn't a nation.

Sweet christ, Tactica Online has gotten better looking cleaned up since I last wrote about it.

It doesn't even look like a tactics game anymore! At those special abilities at the bottom? Where is my beautiful non-dofus tactics?

Suuuure, Hoax.  We all know you want the ball gown for late at night when you think no one is looking.

Hahahaha!  I'm really good at this!

Or he'll cross-drag his game character, post the account on eBay with some BS but funny story about his ex-wife, and make a billion plat.

I really would like to see a MMO that combines "smart"" henchmen with housing.  I love the god game genre and see no reason why I can't have it in an MMO setting.  Welcome to Barony Pococurante - watch the zombie bots toiling in the fields, gasp with amazed shock when the bar room brawl turns into NPC gangland!
