Now to work on that end world hunger detail.

I started with nothing, and I still have most of it

Can someone use small words to explain this to me? Is this the BoB/everyone thing or the F13-our-war thing?

its the war between f13 and under the wings of fury. note that shooting is still allowed untill the 24 hour timer has expired. that would be about 7 hours from when im typing this or 7 PM EDT.

Why has peace broken out?  Weren't you fighting for the fun and wisdom of it?

Yes, but they got scared off by our many, and I mean many, wins. So they didn't renew the war. Wussies.

We are all the mole.

A nation consists of its laws. A nation does not consist of its situation at a given time. If an individual's morals are situational, then that individual is without morals. If a nation's laws are situational, that nation has no laws, and soon isn't a nation.

Yeah I've been playing a bit. Eating crow, asking whiny questions...  <sigh>

I had to own up that I suck at EVE.  Too many months, too casual.  I was pretty pissed off at my last death (should've petitioned in all objectivity). I took my insurance, sold everything I had, renewed, and got myself a very slow Osprey, which looks like someone welded an RV with wings.  Anyways, I'm poking around.

There's a lot of people playing EVE for the right reasons and talking about it enough that it's clear I have not been g-e-t-t-i-n-g i-t.  So I will try to learn a bit more.

[Edit] reading Darniaq's essay helped, although I still don't understand how to compensate or exploit Transversal Velocity.

Here's a trick that will help with a ton of things:
Play with your overview, until you put transversal velocity into your overview there isn't really a way to learn to use it.  Oh in order to play w/ the overview right click on the yellow arrow pointing right under the currently selected window.

You can do a ton of cool things there.  Once you have put transversal in and paid attention to it while doing some belt ratting go read the turret guide again, then play some more.  You'll get the hang of it.

Overview presets are key to avoiding information overload.  Also note that in the overview currently selected you can set your default orbit distance amongst other things.

Don't worry about the death, whenever I get ganked and feel stupid I usually quit for the rest of the day, the keys to avoiding that feeling for me are:

1. Dont fly shit I can't afford to loose.
2. Try to do less stupid things (dont fly a brick w/ big signature and bad agility without any WCS fitted through lowsec)
3. Make sure you have multiple ships setup so you dont have to go back to Rens/Jita/wherever any time you die
4. Shoppping and the travel associated with it are killer, therefore it is just bad for your health to not have multiple sets of modules and perferably ships in your operating area.  I try to keep 3 Punishers and once I find a Maller BPC that doesn't suck I'll be keeping a pair of them as well as my tech1 stable.  My BS is going to be stashed in Space-France for awhile to run L4 Missions should krak ever feel like trying them and I'm putting a proph for PVE ratting in the arzi area but I WILL NOT be flying it all over like I have previously, that 8mil insurance hit once per week from various gatecamps and taking on fights I shouldn't was f'ing up my profits.  With this plan I hope to have a stable of pvp ships available around our base, while still being able to pve some money.  Eventually I fully intend to get a proph for pvp fitting/use to put in Neesh/Arzi.

Hope that stuff helps.  :-D

The Osprey is IMO under rated (people just say its for mining) and its dirt cheap for a cruiser (I can always replace it for less than the max insurance pays out and I also have the BPO which is in the oven atm)

I was ratting in 0.4 in mine over the weekend and had it passive shield tanked to buggery and back (other than an afterburner fill the remaining mid slots with the biggest shield extenders you can) training shield managment, tactical shield compensation, shield upgrades and shield operation are key for all Caldari ships IMO

I got jumped my a player in a Vexor, I engaged with 2x heavy missile launchers (Widowmakers and Scourges - not ideal but that what I had) and 2x dual 150mil rails with antimatter plus 4 hobgoblin drones.

He Nos'd me (no big deal) and warp scrambled (stupidly I had 2 empty lows - should have taken stabs!) whats amusing is that I was winning and had the guy into structure while I was still in armour right up until he got 2 cycles of target jammer on me  :-( Unfortunately my drones couldnt keep up and I lost the ship.

So I will train FoF missile next

So, did we shoot at each other or at the same people? :P

Pretty much the same story here. I was winning and then I got jammed and lost.
