The PC demo for Tomb Raider: Legend is out. Get it at your favorite game download place or use the official server:

http://ftp.eidosinteractive.com/pub/demos/trlegend/trl_demo.zip (509 MB)

I gave up on the series a long time ago so I can't comment on how this one compares to some of the recent ones but it has a definite Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time feel to the platform/puzzle aspects, the physics are pretty good and Lara's animation is well done.

A demo is going up on Xbox Live and I am tempted to give it a shot. Tomb Raider is one of those games that never seemed right on a PC to me.

That's because it's a platformer.

It's not in the demo if that's what you are asking. It's an Eidos game not a Ubisoft one.

Its pretty buggy :/

I should get back to nature, too.  You know, like going to a shop for groceries instead of the computer.  Maybe a condo in the woods that doesn't even have a health club or restaurant attached.  Buy a car with only two cup holders or something. -Signe

The demo. In that room with the 3 boxes and the stone see-saw, it crashed repeatedly when I managed to put two boxes on top of each other on the see saw. One tipped over ontop of the area of the see saw that I don't think is meant to carry any objects and it went boom. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

You don't need to stack the boxes on top of each other. Spoiler below:

Oh, I know that, but I was trying to get the three boxes up on the front platform so I could put one on each pressure plate, and I was dinking around with the boxes to see if I could get them up on there. Or am I like, totally persueing this particular puzzle incorrectly?

You do need to put them on the pressure plates but you don't need to stack them on top of each other on the lower level to get them up there.

Oh ya, the rendered cleavage wiggle action is most excellent in this game. Its on par with Lineage II, although behind EQ's undead female grandma troll swing-floppage.

Played the 360 demo and was very underwhelmed. Boring and looks like it'll be much too linear imo

Have you tried the internet? It's made out of millions of people missing the point of everything and then getting angry about it

I don't know what's up with the run and gun thing that's been in a few games lately. Holding your guns out straight with locked arms is not conducive to fun gameplay. In fact, it's an immediate turn off for me with a game whenever I see it. And I'm not talking about her boobies.
