I still go to several festivals a year.

Lots of fun is to be had.

Main event every year ist the Wacken Open Air.

Wacken in the open air? You could get arrested for that here.

Explaining it will kill the joke, but "whacking" (which sounds like Wacken is spelled) in English is slang for masturbation. I'm assuming a Wacken Open Air festival will involve some form of outdoors circle jerk.

Crazy Germans.

Germans rule when it comes to metal drummers and bass players. On the other hand Wacken seems to have picked some good American imports in Nevermore and Ministry.

Jesus man, priorities.  Kids come and go but a Mike Patton show is for life.  Hell your new lsd taking fucking in public wife and you can make a new kid in 15 minutes flat if you work at it..
Well, if it's any help in redeeming me, then our firstborn was concieved in a tent, at a rockfestival, and it was muddy outside. No drugs were involved, but large amounts of beer.
And the Mike Patton show was the third out of four (at that one festival) and I didn't miss those (the one I missed was Mike Patton & and crazy Japanese elevtronica guy...)

I took acid and watched horror movies with Marylin Manson and Enigma from Jim Rose Circus Sideshow.. It was probably much more interesting..
I met Enigma once... but we didn't hang out. You win.

One of the biggest metal festivals in the world, any f13 poster coming this year ?

I usually meet lots people from the USA andAustralia.

Edit: Hyperlinks are hard

Cool, pick me up in Kiel or Hamburg and I'll go... I don't care about any of the other bands, but I'll gladly cross the border for Ministry.

WAS the lead singer of Soul Coughing? They broke up? Shit.

Just picked up Doughty's latest solo cd, "Haughty Melodic", I'm only half way through and it's probably one of the best cd's I've heard recently. I'm particularly enjoying the song "Busting up a Starbucks".

I'd highly recommend the cd if you were a Soul Coughing fan. The only noticable absence is the base lines aren't as prominent on Doughty's solo stuff.
