Yes, Ctrl-Alt-Dlt has been getting better and better while Penny Arcade seems to be getting worse and worse. PA has been trying to get edgier and edgier since whole children's fundraiser they did last christmas. As far as other comics, Little Gamers has gone down the toilet. 8-Bit Theater was funny while it laster. Bob & George took me one night to read all of and I haven't gone back to the site since then. Alternatively, Sexy Losers continues to be fucked up.

You mean by them trying to incorporate the word "fuck" into just about every comic/post?  Really, I thought Tyco was immune to the immature ranter mentality, but all he seems to do now is f'bomb for the funny.

Well no. I mean everything. It's got more hollow violence than before. Among other things, it really seems like their burnt out. I mean he did what, 4 comics for different games, still updated his shit 4 times a week. They need to just sell out to IGN, cash in, and game the rest of their life.

Oh cool, AT is back.  I kind of forgot about him while he was on hiatus.

What? Seven posts about webcomics and no Piro bashing?  This must be a new record...

Well not for long - is it just me, or is the subplot with Piro the most boring of Megatokyo's threads?  The Great Teacher Largo and the Conscience thread have my attention, but the main romantic story is just bleh.

Also, Poe's Errant Story seems to come and go with the scene.  Its really hot when the characters are bantering, but sluggish when he tries to develop the story or ilustrate a fight.

I've always thought of Megatokyo as crap. Then I found out that like thousands of people liked it when i worked at Otakon (a local store I part timed at had a booth there). Most of those people were dressed up. I suddenly realized why I thought it was crap.

I agree with the rest of what you said but Nuklear Power still gives me a good chuckle at least once a week.

I just wish Hard would update more often.  I want to see how he's going to resolve the Shiunji & Suicide Girl thread.  Still, it could be worse and the site could have gone away like when it had the other name.

If you enjoy SL, you'd like Ghastly's Ghastly Comic. Tho this weeks is a bit off.  Start at the archives.

As for the lack of bitching about Megatokyo/Piro bashing.  You have to actually care enough beyond the first time you read the comic to even remember that it needs trashing.  I only mention it now because someone else brought it up.

I agree. I read through a good portion of Megatokyo and it's just Meh. Checking out GG's comic now.

But yea, the suicide girl thread by Hard is great. I'd like him to finish the Mike's Left Hand thread as well.

You guys read a lot more webcomics than I do.

I don't see any problem with Penny Arcade. I dig their style, both writing and art. Sure, they may not be guffaw-funny all the time, but who is? I'm quite happy that they make enough money off the site, ads and plugs to do that without having to work a day job. If I could do that with my writing, I'd be so there.

The only other thing I read on a semi-regular basis is Something Positive. I've actually never read Megatokyo.

Ditto. Although I must admit that the quality has gone downhill in the past year or so IMHO.

Compared to other webcomics? No.

Well, unless you count Ctrl alt del, but to me they still have to prove if they are indeed are good, or if they've been on a fluke lately.

As for Megatokyo, it started out ok, and went downhill as it went along. I don't know why people still keep discussing it. By all rights it desevers no mention at all theese days.

Is it just or, or do the hand problems that prevent him from updating more bring an image of despondent-Mike-with-cast to mind?

He mentioned a while back in his blog he'd like to do comicing full time if he could manage it between his hand and money problems.  Here is hoping...

I was speaking about its ability to entertain me period, not as a comparison (since the only time I read other web comics is when someone links one here, for the most part). Either I am partially immune to Kurtz's whacky gang's charms now, or the writing has dipped. Probably a combination of the two.

I'd say Kurtz has entered the established comic stage... ermm... think Mort Walker. Beetle Baily still amuses, but we all know the characters well enough to rarely burst out laughing anymore, still it's good for a smile and a chuckle.

Mort Walker himself is moving on to the crazy-guy-whose-strips-don't-make-sense-anymore stage. See B.C.'s Johnny Hart.
