I want to add cable tv viewing capability to my PC setup. I'm in the market for a good quality external or internal TV tuner card.

I have no clue where to get good solid reviews. This is a scary product to buy because most TV tuners seem to be absolute garbage.

any recommendations/guidance here? Thank you,

Didn't we just have this thread?

I had a Hauppage one a while back (when I was in college and had two PCs and cable but no TV).  It worked pretty well, and only cost something like $20.  I heartily endorse it.

I also have a Hauppage, the only prob I had was that I had to upgrade the firmware and the viewing program before it was able to sych correctly with my cable system.  Has worked great ever since.

Sorry about that. I didn't even realize to look for PVR in the title. Thanks for the suggestions.
