I tried the night watch demo from Nivel Interactive the other day and was quite intrigued. It looks like it could be kind of interesting. With more of an RPG feel than their previous games. The engine is identical to Silent Storm but it has way more of an RPG slant to it and a unique concept of playing a member of a secret society battling vampires, werewolves and other creatures of the night. There's 3 "clases" in the game; a mage type, a shapeshifter, and an enchanter who uses magic items. I only played the mage and the 2 characters that joined me later were both shapeshifters So I'm going to have to replay it trying the enchanter class. The combat is turn based, and if you played silent storm you know what the graphics are like.
One interesting thing I found about combat was I had a knockback spell that did more damage the more objects the target hit when you knocked him back. Voice acting isn't too bad though the English is a bit stilted.
I thought I got the demo from the downloads forum here but I can't find it so maybe not. Here's a link to the home page for anyone interested.
Before this post I had never heard of Nival Interactive but it seems like they're huge. I'm downloading the demo as of now, more intrestingly for me though, it seems these guys have picked up the license for HoMM5. HoMM has always been a favorite of mine. There even seems to be some leaked beta posts from HoMM5 in their forum.
