Yes, the stock Windows desktop image.  I've reinstalled Windows (multiple times) recently and haven't quite gotten everything shipshape again yet.

If you take away the rolling hills (and the non-standard icons) that's my work desktop, too.  No, i'm not allowed to change it.

My job is awesome!

We should do a thread where people post pictures of their actual desktops/cubes/offices/rooms.  Any time someone visits our building, one of the stops on the tour is my office.  It more than makes up for my dull desktop wallpaper.

Lum (Your home desktop) and Fabricated - Where did you get those desktops? Love the art style.
Actually, I really like Fabricated's background - where'd you get that one?

My backgrounds are from Ukitakumuki, one of the very few great artists on DeviantArt.

I haven't read Elric in many, many moons but I get that pic out and set it on my desktop fairly often. Sometimes I get an Astronomy Pic of the Day or something from Digital Blasphemy.

Some lawyers read these boards;  Can I sue him ?

Sure you can. You can always sue someone.  The hard parts are proving damages and collecting money.

Everytime I click on a Useless news link, my mind is damaged one post at a time.  Someone needs to pay.

I'd be down for some of that sweet class action.

I really need to change that...

Sadly, no. That's my birthday party last year.

I should probably be insulted by the Serek Dmart reference, but my sense of disdain is all out of whack lately.

No, I am using the other available res: 1024x768.  LCD, whatchagonnado?

Actually if I was at my desk... not sure what it would look like since I have a second monitor: a CRT that runs at a different resolution.  That might look worse.

Here's my work desktop, nothing juicy showing though:

You can see I've got foobar2000 running as my MP3 player, as recommended by TheTijuanaBrass. Background from http://www.digitalblasphemy.com which I also saw on someone else's desktop. The desktop calendar on the side is called Rainlender (skinable and stuff).

Agreed. I just downloaded the demo in the first week of the new year. In my town of 15,000 the only place with software is Walmart; which does not have Knights of Honor. I'll Amazon it sometime along with a book purchase.

So I google up knights of honor and am greeted by the sound of a sword being drawn from a scabbard. LOUD. Right into my fucking headphones. Guess I won't be buying that game.

My wallpaper is http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/downloads/wallpapers/wallpaper20.html and I work on my desktop so it's filled with files and folders that are not interesting in the slightest. Wont post a screeny cause some of it is NDA even though nobody cares, but hey, if I get told not to let people see it, that's what I'll do.

I had to use Notes at the last job I had, I pity those of you who are still using it.   We're using Groupwise here which is at least a bit more intuitive about things.
