Here, mouseovers if you're feeling voyeuristic. My stuff folder is a mainstay, I tend to organize it about once a month though this one is getting kind of old. Everything I use is on quick launch and it gets cleaned out a LOT. Gotta keep the games organized or I'll go nuts.

At one point my desktop was actually FULL of icons. There wasn't space for a single new one. So I made a folder called "Desktop", copied everything into it, put it in C: and now I'm filling up my main desktop again.

My desk at work is exactly the same. I have about 50 different papers just lying around on it. I employ a very flat organizational system you could say.

Mine's an odd size because I have 2 LCD monitors (1280x1024 and 1024x768). And yes, not showing off, I just go nuts if I can't find stuff.

It isn't Vista, btw, but a skin using Windowblinds 5.

I use to have fancy setups using StyleXP, but I didn't bother to reinstall everything the last reinstall of my OS.

Not nearly as pretty as it use to be, but it's really not worth the hassle.

Pretty simple and grey, easy on the eyes.

Used to have a messy desktop like Shock so the desktop folder was born and now my desktop looks clean.

I have a 360 degree picture taken from the top of Mt Everest.  It's an active desktop so I can scroll the horizon around and look off in different directions.

I won't post a picture because it would take effort and not really tell you anything (other than that I link to about 15 different network drives on my desktop)..

I recently got all hot and heavy into the live action Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon series. So sue me.

Edit: In the remote possibility that I could get sued, I've blurred out any full names in the stickies in the picture. Probably wouldn't make a diff, but just to make sure....

Oi Oi. Could I use that skin with Windowblinds but turn off what it does to the start menu? I just like the folder translucency around the edges.

Also, it's your fault you're not on that list. I have all my contact information in my profile. L0ser.

Signe: Har.

schild: Yeah, you can turn off elements, so you could have everything but the start menu skinning.

Since I'm at work now, here's the work desktop. Yes, I'm perverse.

You people are crazy with the image shack, eh?

My desktop image scrolls through a folder of images, right now it's wildlife. I dumped my messy links first, neener neener. I tend to drop a ton of weblinks and downloaded stuff onto the desktop, then later dump them into folders. Those folders are monstrously huge.

Reader Rabbit ate my theme last night.  My machine is too unstable to commit to something fancy.  Imagine "moon background" and "silver" color.  Two days ago it was "orange trees" and "olive".  I put most things in the quickbar, which is two-high.  I also make extensive use of the address bar; basically anything in my path is typed into the address bar, including explorer.exe, compmgmt.msc, cmd.exe, etc.

The work desktop is similar but more boring, and I usually run dual monitors.  Lots of obscure icons.

Why am I homeless?  Why do all you motherfuckers need homes is the real question.

You did, until Lum pointed me to the flyakiteosx site. Here's my new desktop. If I don't move my mouse over the top or bottom, the screen is completely blank. The best possible desktop ever.

Heavily edited (NDA) work desktop.

Too lazy to make a thumbnail, and I can't show my one at home... I'm using a somewhat sexy image of my wife as wallpaper. I like to show her off, but if she found out I posted it here she would give me a sweet little smile and then rip my head off.
