Question: What is the truest definition of Globalization?
Answer: Princess Diana's death.
Question: How come?
Answer: An English princess
with an Egyptian boyfriend
crashes in a French tunnel,
driving a German car
with a Dutch engine,
driven by a Belgian who was drunk
on Scottish whisky, (check the bottle before you change the spelling)
followed closely by Italian Paparazzi,
on Japanese motorcycles;
treated by an American doctor,
using Brazilian medicines.
This is sent to you by an Assyrian,
using Bill Gates's technology,
and you're probably reading this on your computer,
that uses Taiwanese chips,
and a Korean monitor,
assembled by Bangladeshi workers
in a Singapore plant,
transported by Indian lorry-drivers,
hijacked by Indonesians,
unloaded by Sicilian longshoremen,
and trucked to you by Mexicans.
That, my friends, is Globalization

Globalization is me travelling on a British airplane to an US stripclub, exchanging my Danish currency given to me by my German boss in a Swedish owned company, and then proceeding to stuff it inside the panties of a Hungarian stripper pretending to be from Guatamala (don't ask med why she did that)

This thread's topic is stupid. This thread has no feelings. The old one was much better.

Psssssst. Rodent, it's only a picture of cupcakes. They do taste good though. It is, indeed, cupcake porn. Maybe this is what Shockeye was talking about.

The Swedes are the melancholy ones - probably because their cakes suck.
Anyway, stop posting pictures of non-Danish Danish. Stick with donuts and stuff you know how to make right, because your country sucks at making Danish.

Princess Diana's death. News of which I heard on a British ferry leaving France for Dover, after 30 hours by bus from Poland with an Australian woman, following four months of bicycle travel starting in the Netherlands, through Belgium, France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Hungary again, Slovakia again, to Warsaw. After attending my grandmother's 90th birthday in London, I caught the return bus to Warsaw and a train to Moscow, then trans-Siberian and trans-Mongolian trains to Beijing. After a while in southern China, I headed for Hong Kong where a doctor thought I might have malaria and I hopped the first flight home to Sydney. Diana's death is for noobs. Now, to get on-topic again, Portugese custard tarts:

Where would be a proper place/thread/forum for me to introduce myself?

Ok, we definately need a faq.
There's no such place to introduce yourself. I think someone did...successfully....once. That might have been me though. And given my "position" I definately wouldn't call it successful. Anyway, just start talking. Introductions end up being painful.

The best way to do it is to start a new thread pimping your own website. That goes over extremely well here.

Ok and I promise to remember my netiquette. As for my website *gulps and whispers* I am the ME of SWG Stratics. I am/was an old UO player, started playing UO when it went live...on Atlantic... 8 years ago? Ouch... A gamer/female... trying to do what I can to bring facts to the gaming community through Stratics and pump info out of Thunderheart and DEV team for the poor SWG Community... guess that is the basic... in UO I was a Smurff for 3 years on centeral and I have a degree in Creative writing and focus on the Gaming Industry.

Well, I've found your problem. There are no facts about the gaming industry, just misinformation.

So true... I have been watching the war going on in the industry and followed Raph when he went to the Conference oversea's to promote RMT concept... rather interesting conference to monitor.

On introductions - just use an avvy with a cute Asian chick and throw an off comment in a random thread. Works wonders, you get instantly accepted! I know one dude that did that, he's a legend around here... ummm... yeah :)
On cupcakes - great. I want a cupcake now. And it's 1 AM and I'm CRAVING a cupcake.
On globalisation - Who-what now? I need no fancy-shmancy globalisation...

We have to introduce around here? Maybe in another ten years, I don't trust you shifty-eyed people yet. Maybe I'll get an Avatar next year, as a test. All those cakes look so foreign. In the spirit of globalization have some Apfelstrudel

You could start with saying fuck a lot more, then making up your own words involving genitalia and animals. It's worked wonders for me.
