I haven't posted in awhile.  Been busy.  Anyhow, I got this Ngage given to me and was wondering if anyone actually plays this thing?  I haven't gone into the arena with it and the only games I have are High Seize and Tony Hawk.  What do you guys think of it, if anything at all?

Both Haemish and I enjoyed Pocket Kingdom.

Also, I've heard the Splinter Cell for the system is good. I picked it up but haven't found my charger in a while (like 6 months).

As a phone? It's trash.

cool.  I don't plan on using it as a phone. ever.  i've had sprint for like 5 years, and even though they periodically rape me with no lube in a very uncomfortable place, it's familiar and i don't think i'll ever change.

what about Rifts?  has anyone played that yet?  i used to love to play it on pen and paper back in the day, i just can't see how they could get something like that to excel in this format, though.

I agree.  The plight of the average Anorexia sufferer must be brought to light.

Or were you talking about Schild ?  I've no fucking idea what he's chosen this time.

I totally would not know Schild's avatar is a "rotoscopped" (whatever that means) Brad Pitt unless you told me so.

I just assumed it was another one of is off-beat anime things. I swear, I think he chooses weird stuff just for the sake of choosing obscure stuff only he knows of.

Hey I don't know what kind of car your avatar is, I mean why would you do that?

And everyone knows that schild's avatar is cameo of Brad Pitt from an episode Yakitate Japan, I mean really what kind of car is that?

It's a Cobra. You can see the insignia. Doesn't make it any less AZN rice burger FAGGY though.

I had no idea that was supposed to be Brad Pitt.

It made me think that I should use a self portrait I made in Illustrator, though.  Still debating that, don't think I'm gonna cause it's too similar to putting an actual picture of me as my avatar.

Would that be SirBrucing yourself, or something?

I actually laughed out loud from this for almost a full minute. I don't know how else to respond to the funny man, who drives an Acura RSX (if I am not mistaken).

The slick move would have been pointing out that a Cobra isn't Asian. But you still have a car you don't own as an avatar.

I think Schild's avatar looks like one of the boys from Goofus and Gallant, in the old Highlights Magazines.

The NGage is mostly dead as a console, given that I can barely find anyone who actually carries the games anymore. X-Men Legends for it is pretty decent. EB/Gamestop has all of their NGage games for like $7, all 5 of them.

I don't think Rifts is out yet. There's a Warhammer 40k game coming out as well that I'm interested in. It's a mediocre phone at best, but a decent game machine. It would have been a better game machine if the screen was horizontally rectangular, instead of a mobile phone screen.

That was implied when I pointed out which car You drive, doofus.

And yeah, I do have a shot of a car that I do not own (I own a somewhat similar model) as an avatar. You have a cartoonish picture of a man who you are not as your avatar. What's your point?

Ive got an N Gage QD.  I love it.

Pathway to Glory, Rifts, Catan, High Seize...  good strategy gaming times.

Hell, Pathway to Glory makes every Japanese Console Strategy RPG (except for Front Mission) its bitch.

See. Now I have to go buy it. There's no way it's better than Disgaea. But I'll take that challenge.

Oh its better combat wise.  Story and character wise?  No.  Its more like X com in that regard.
But the tasty, tasty combat is what does it.

You actually have to use things like stealth and cover.
Because almost any gun can kill a person in 1 to 2 hits, 3 is pushing it.  And bullets cause bleeding damage.

It has permadeath, but given the aforementioned "bullets kill you dead" thing, some private with a sub machine gun
is just as dangerous at point blank range as the Sergeant with the same gun.  Its just the Sarge can move faster, shoot
more often, and with more accuracy.

It's just another pun. (Which is nearly the basis of the show) - but two of the characters call Kid "Kiddo" which in Japanese is one of the many endings they give words. But in america "Kiddo" is slang. It's actually one of the more clever things as Kid is supposed to be American. The show is a lot smarter than I thought it was. There's a world of difference between the first 20 episodes and the most recent 20. They're getting very good at hiding the clever stuff.

Also, bread is awesome.
