Empyrean magic has once again fled this world. The battle for Dereth continues on a different plane now. As his final act in this realm, Asheron sealed every portal to contain the expanding horde and protect what is left of the races who called Dereth home.

As of December 30, 2005 the AC2 service is no longer available. Turbine and the AC2 development team would like to express our thanks to the many players who’ve been part of Asheron’s Call 2 over the years. We hope you’ve had as much fun playing the game as we did creating it for you.

It’s never easy to say goodbye to a place you’ve called home, but we hope to see all of you in Turbine’s other worlds.

There was some town invasions and tyrant attacks but for the most part players seemed to gather about and share memories. Playing music until the end. Peaceful.

The fact that it lasted this long is quite frankly amazing. I actually thought it went out of business sometime last year.

For all intents and purposes, it did.

maybe now someone can convince them to toss all those art assets and beautifull graphics tech onto the old AC. AC1 with AC2 graphics would probably get me to re-subscribe.

I was just in Comp USA the other day, and they had a few AC2 boxes sitting on the shelves. I wonder if they'll actually be take them down...

I have a creepy fear that this will be resurrected later on this year...

Put this on the predictions for the new year.

I suppose the ex-AC2 players will now flood into Horizons.

Why am I homeless?  Why do all you motherfuckers need homes is the real question.

SWG is just a gateway to EVE.

I think most of them are in the DDO beta now.

You do understand that the young man was engaging in sarcasm, right?

I am not judging you.

No Nerf, but I put a link to this very thread and I said that you all can guarantee for my purity. I even mentioned your case, and see if they can take a look at your lawn from a Michigan perspective.

I didn't get that, mainly because many people playing on the last day were actually talking about going to Horizons. It's true, so the sarcasm was lost on me.

I'm surprised you're even able to breathe after hearing that sort of dumbassness.
