Hey all. I don't know how many people here know about Ultima V: Lazarus, that crazy crazy Dungeon Siege mod and/or Ultima V remake, depending on who you ask. But since I know some of you from other sites, yet others of you I've hardly met...I figured it was worth mentioning around here.

Well...we finally found time in our busy schedules to throw together something of a trailer.

Currently, you can get it here, here, here, or here. DivX required to play it.

If you can't wait, and want to wander around the map and see some of the work that's gone into it all, Team Lazarus has teamed up with Team Archon of the Ultima 6 Project to bring you... Project Britannia!

Holy crap, that's a lot of linkage.

Enjoy, folks. And get ye a copy of Dungeon Siege, wherever ya can. We're almost done.

I would make a snide remark about the crosspost copy job you've done here but it's some good mod work. I liked Ultima years ago and if I decide to dig up Dungeon Siege, this would be the reason.

Now don't be so blatant again. rolleyes

Yeah, hence the "others of you I've hardly met" comment; that many people here don't visit the other gaming communities, and I wanted to make reach out to 'em. I guess I shoulda been more clear. ^^

I particularly hope this lives up to your expectations, Schild. It's our highest goal to hear from old-school Ultima vets and hear them say "This is an ULTIMA!"

You mean we'll be able to use drugs, gamble, and complete the game backwards after killing Lord British?

Edit: the actual website is back up now. Try it again. Best walkthroughs ever.

I'm one of the folks he was posting for ;) I bought DS for this mod, the game itself blew.

Unfortunately, the video isn't playing for me. Quicktime 7.0.3 with DivX installed on Mac OSX 10.3.9.

Ive been waiting for this fucking game for 3 or 4 years now.  It better not disappoint.  And it better run on Mac
Dungeon Siege since I don't plan on hooking up my laptop just to play this mod that was due 2 computers ago.

BUT NO PRESSURE.  And give us a heads up on DLing it just in case EA decides to give you guys a cornholing.
I give 3-2 odds they will shut it down after its available.

Try the DivX player itself.

Yeah, I've been waiting about that long too. (grumble grumble)

We got a Mac tester playing it right now, and it seems to be working fine.

Alas....

I'll bug the team to see if we can get it going for Macs.

I never found an avi file that  didn't play on the VLC player on my Mac. Downloading the movie at the moment and letting you know...

Edit: Indeed, it works. And liking what I see.

Ah groovy. I was going to recommend VideoLAN. Never used it myself, but it was recommended.
