I loved the concept of B&W, but didn't love the game - too much mouse clicking for me, I never got the hang of the controls comfortably enough to actually play it.
Anyone try B&W2? Thoughts, comments, appreciated. TIA.

Same shit, new graphics. I was only able to stand about 20 minutes of it last night.
But it was mighty optimized. Had it running at 1680x1050 and looking good (custom level of graphics - me no likey bloom on it).

I loved B&W 1 to pieces except for the bugs. How are the bugs this time around? If it's basically the same gameplay as B&W 1 AND it's not a buggy piece of shit that's a no-brainer for me.

Same gameplay. Almost as buggy. Physics still suck.

Any unrecoverable crashes or corrupted creature AI yet?

Similar gameplay. Lots less buggy in my experience. My creature hasn't been lobotomized by any bugs yet, and is slightly smarter and LOTS easier to teach this time around. Theres a toolbar menu at the bottom of the screen where you can see every idea your creature has had on that world, and come back to any of them to punish or reward it. You can also see the idea you are punishing or rewarding while you train him, and see how what you are doing is affecthing what he is learnign about it.
Building your village/city is more 'sim-godgame' this time. You can plunk down buildings of any type anyplace they'll fit inside your influence, and your villagers will build them, no stacking together blocky things from the sawmill and trying to find the one pixel where they'll become the building you want.
Creatures are smaller this time around. Creature combat is no longer interactive. The gesture spellcasting stuff is still there and annoying, but less so than before.
Theres more gravity in the physics now, stuff doesn't fly as far when you throw it with the hand.
There is a new hand multi-grab feature, where you can pick up multiple items of a given type (villagers, whole trees) to move things en masse.
Its lots easier to be shiny good without having to do everything for your useless villagers. Giving them stuff doesn't prevent them getting it on their own, though you'll still need to create some disciples so you have a guarantee of a thing getting taken care of.

That's about what I was hoping to hear. Think I'll be getting this one, then. :-D

Thank you for the info.
I might give it a try, if I come up with a little more spare time. I keep thinking I have more than I do.
