Likey - has a sort of cartoon feel like WoW.  Though in at least one shot it looks like the toon is floating off the ground.

Yeah, second up from the bottom, it's 'cause the shadows don't intersect the feet.  Looks ok in the rest of the shots though.

Looks like a fun game, everyone has been asking for more wild west themed stuff, glad to see someone is listening.

Unless they have a PC version, I will sadly have to give it a miss. I fucking hate aiming with my thumbs. (insert console shooter rant here).

Most games with shadows have that problem (some worse than others - Soldier of Fortune II was really bad at shadows and should have left them out entirely).  Doom 3 is the only one I know of that gets it right all of the time.  Go id!

Before you ask, I can't answer any questions at this time. ^_^

Interesting... Unlikely I'll get to play it unless I win that 360 you're giving away (or it comes to PC).

Me four, though I'd prefer something in the Wild Wild West vein.

Storm I'm interested in Mass Effect but I'd be more interested if there was an SS gallery instead of a cinematic trailer.  Or is there one and in my feeble old age I missed it?

This all new tech, or is it built from your earlier engines? Pretty much everything after NWN has felt like a more and more upgraded Aurora engine.

Launch titles. Chances are good almost none of them will be any good.

I'm expecting lots of 6-7 ratings from anywhere that isn't impressed by swag or under-the-table money.

Thanks Storm - sorry to push but those are stills from the trailer.  Are these cutscenes or how the game actually plays?

I do believe Everyone knows the answer to that question. Remember the Alamo Madden video?

That's one of those questions I'm not cleared to answer just yet. For the time being all I can do is point you towards resources already available online.

Isn't it not in fact not truly unfalse that your game revolves entirely around that cool armor-suited guy hitting kittens with a sledgehammer?  Yes or no!

That confuses me. Can you tell me why you can't answer whether those are cinematics or actual gameplay? Or is even the why covered by NDA?

Or a better question... why are all the next gen console trailers heavy on what appears to be pre-rendered cinematics, but when you ask if those are renders or gameplay, everyone hems and haws?

The answer is probably that any real answer to your question will make a lot of people who are about to drop $450-$700 very apprehensive about doing so.

At least until the end of this week, all information given out has to come from marketing and leads. They're still working out exactly what the rules are the rest of us will follow.

It's a matter of focus, I'd imagine. They want to ensure that the initial rush of information is tight and "on-message." I know what the answer to the question is, and I'd like to tell you straight, but I'm not certain I can legally do so.

Okay, here's about as definitive as you're likely to get:

Quote
The trailer is beautiful. but it like a pre-rendered stuff

Quote
...you were asking about the in-game footage, assuming it wasn't in-game footage, and - what? You don't believe me?

Well, think again.

Yeah, we've staged some of the events in that trailer, but it's all coming from the actual game, actual models, actual graphics, actual whatever you want to call it. When you play the game, and when you see all those aliens jumping around, all those guys moving about with their guns drawn, or drawing their guns, or lowering their eyebrows, and even that alien hanging out by the "bar" sign...

That's a definitive answer, and a good one. That's the first real in-game stuff I've seen that makes me want a 360.
