Yeah, second up from the bottom, it's 'cause the shadows don't intersect the feet.  Looks ok in the rest of the shots though.

Looks like a fun game, everyone has been asking for more wild west themed stuff, glad to see someone is listening.

Most games with shadows have that problem (some worse than others - Soldier of Fortune II was really bad at shadows and should have left them out entirely).  Doom 3 is the only one I know of that gets it right all of the time.  Go id!

This all new tech, or is it built from your earlier engines? Pretty much everything after NWN has felt like a more and more upgraded Aurora engine.

The answer is probably that any real answer to your question will make a lot of people who are about to drop $450-$700 very apprehensive about doing so.

At least until the end of this week, all information given out has to come from marketing and leads. They're still working out exactly what the rules are the rest of us will follow.

It's a matter of focus, I'd imagine. They want to ensure that the initial rush of information is tight and "on-message." I know what the answer to the question is, and I'd like to tell you straight, but I'm not certain I can legally do so.

...you were asking about the in-game footage, assuming it wasn't in-game footage, and - what? You don't believe me?

Well, think again.

Yeah, we've staged some of the events in that trailer, but it's all coming from the actual game, actual models, actual graphics, actual whatever you want to call it. When you play the game, and when you see all those aliens jumping around, all those guys moving about with their guns drawn, or drawing their guns, or lowering their eyebrows, and even that alien hanging out by the "bar" sign...

That's a definitive answer, and a good one. That's the first real in-game stuff I've seen that makes me want a 360.
