Seriously, this expansion and patch was supposed to be a great source of amusement and smug satisfaction for me and others.  You're dropping the ball here.

Oh there deffinatly was some wailing and gnashing of teeth it took them a good while to get 4 servers unlocked due to some bug and some guildies were having problems crashing every time they zoned and not being able to log on for 10 minutes after. I expect a hot patch today that should squash those nasties and then everybody can wail and gnash about the combat upgrade.

EQ2 is sort of like AC2.  Nobody cares enough to even give it a proper kicking.

Bottom line: the combat changes have made combat more fun and interactive, but soloing viability has definitely declined probably back to where it was at release. There is plenty to solo, yes, but the wandering group mobs had returned and most of the good quests have a mob or two in them that cannot be soloed at a level at which the reward would we attractive.

I was never one for soloing anyway but I do have guildmates that depend on it and they are grumbling.

I have never played WoW.

I'm not going to wail or gnash, but I will be cancelling for the second time. I got really bored and gave the game another shot. There have been improvements, but a game must have a viable fun solo experience for me to play. I hit the level 16-20 wall just as hard this time as I did at launch.

I have no vitriol, but this is not the game for me (or most people).

A good idea is a good idea forever.

I find the expansion to be very pretty. My monk can solo as well as they did before, if not better.

Heroic mobs on the other hand.  You really need a healer for them now.

They have some great quests in the new lands. I've been enjoying them - much like the story arc missions in COH. Have not played with the factions in Maj' yet.

I just can't muster up enough energy to go out and find all my new spells in App IVs (which I guess don't exist) and relearn my class and such. I liked the changes for my conjuror when I was playing with them in the beta world, but I have so many spells that were outdated that it feels a lot like I'm starting from scratch.

If you can read this, you're on a board populated by misogynist assholes.
