So, I've logged about 8 hours in the game today (7hr41m to be exact). Pretty damn neat title. Story is....silly but the dialogue is pretty great for the most part. I find all the characters pretty likable (and there's another 177 characters that are completely optional). It's got some breadth. Also, it's the first Squeenix game I've played for more than 2 hours in one sitting since Final Fantasy VII Drakengard (I simply don't count FFTA).

If you're looking for a console game to tide you over until Magna Carta, Digital Devil Saga 2, or whatever RPG tickles your fancy, you could do worse than this. I'm happy with the purchase - was $39.99 at Frys.

Star Ocean: Til the End of Time I assume? Didn't waste my time with it. They advertised it as over 80 hours of gameplay. I never cared much for the series. Star Ocean: Second Story or whatever left all sorts of bad tastes in my mouth.

Good.

It's the last Square game I played, and before that: Titus. FF was still OK on some levels, but both left all sorts of bad tastes in my mouth. I haven't given Square a chance since (but Radiata, for some reason, interests me).

I have to wash my brain every time I think of SO3.  Eternal Ring is better than SO3.

Why am I homeless?  Why do all you motherfuckers need homes is the real question.
