I didn't know it was Flash based. The iPod mini seemed like a better deal, even if a little larger.

Interesting....Finally a higher-capacity player that you can use while being active outdoors, or something. I'm hesitant to even job with my Rio Karma, for fear of screwing up the disk drive.

I have a regular iPod (version 2) and I dropped it out of a gym locker a few years back.  It stopped working properly because the HD got messed up.  If I ever buy another portable MP3 player, it's not going to be based around a hard drive.  Yeah, it's nice to have ALL your music on one portable gadget, but now I think I would just go with ALL my music ripped to my computer and load up the stuff that I want to hear before going out.

You could run with the iPod Mini with no problem. Using the armband made for that specific purpose even made it comfortable.

I just use mine for driving, so I wouldn't get a 4 gig mini or nano in the first place....I see your point though. It's just that Flash is so much more expensive, and like Hanzii said, the mini ipod was built with some excercise/mobile activity in mind anyways (with accessories like the armband, etc..).

You just need this.
It's a bit pricey though.

"Also design of the package, is good quality ones. Especially, when the box is opened, it is not to open in the thickness of uniformity, the thick part dividing into the thin part, it tries to open, scantness of the nano, it is good with the unexpected characteristic which inserts the nano itself in thinner one to have reached the point where from first it impresses."

I don't understand your post. Yes the engraved iPod isn't out here yet, so...
I was replying to Signes post about Jim Dale being the narrator, when Stephen Frys lovely voice is reading the books, that I can buy on my iTunes. Did they exchange one Englishman with another for the US books? Why?

Yes. Like I say, you can look at the "other side's" store from the pulldown. Why? No idea. Perhaps the idea of a homosexual reading a book about wizards and witches was too risque for the US publishers. Maybe the different audio books are putting money in different pockets and it wasn't contractually feasible.

I'll go with "not contractually feasible". I don't want to believe the other possibility.

The UK editions are published by Bloomsbury. The US by Listening Library.

Got it.
Good thing they got rid of that bloody fag... or something.

It's been possible to do this for a while now. For example, flash memory players like the now defunct Rio Sport line use removable SD cards. The first thing I did after I got my original Rio Sport was swap out the 64 MB SD card for a much more roomy 256 MB card. You can now get SD cards up to 2 GB in size if you wanted to duplicate the capacity of the 2 GB Nano. The pricing on the Nanos is very nice though with the 4 GB model being a real bargin at $249.00 considering the price of, say, a 4 GB CF card.

I knew about the flash-media players, but I don't really think they're really 'high capacity."
