Hey I'll start a guy on a PVP-RP server.

Though, instead of Burning Region, we should be an all Tauren guild, and call it: Mookakke.

If not,  undead warlock for me.  Haven't tried warlock yet.

Yes, I've been posting on that site (and its predecessor www.wow-ra.com ) as Zetor for a while. It IS basically an "RP Police" site of sorts (which I heavily dislike as an RPer), but I do intend to keep up with it, if only to get info about events, guilds, etcetera.

I know this has already gone 4 pages, and I might hop on board the RP server as well....But it needs to be said: RPing is about the last thing worth taking seriously in WoW. Even if all of the interferences that grate on rp'ers were gone, it's still pretty shallow to begin with.

Just do like I do.  Play a mute and just flip everyone off every 2 minutes.  RP is easy!

I agree.  I'm not going to RP, but I also never use "Say" or public channels, so nobody will have any reason to complain about me.  If you are going to require me to RP in guild, tell, or group channels, I'm out.

I agree with Hat about RP. We dont have to be big RPers to enjoy the server. Its just the kind of people who are attracted to RP servers are usually a bit more mature. Or even if they are not, I would still rather listen to Stormrider Dragonsbane saying "thee, and Thou" over Ilikepee or or Humanpriest saying things like "i pwn u nub" and "u r gay".

We just can throw in a few little RP things in general chat every now and then and we should be fine. I am looking forward to it.

I'd suggest Haem, honestly.  He's level headed, plays enough, and won't be in France when this thing likely opens up.  You wouldn't like me when I have the power to punish people for being stupid little crochpheasents, which seemed to happen numerous times on Moonrunner.

Troll and Orc had a lot of overlap when I tried a Troll. And you don't want to play a troll on a RP server. Trust me.

I think the only thing I could live with in rp terms is Tauren. They've kind of got a Native American thing goin' on, so that's cool. Sadly, most other "roleplayers" who play Taurens will just do something like "MOOOO!!! Me Beefy!", which will then provoke me to grief them with constant /duel or /trade invites.

The game is already un-encouraging to begin with, and while RPing can make things a lot more interesting, the truth is that most people suck at it. Just like acting, you've got to have something to work with.....So don't expect me to do it much. When I say "I'll do it when I see someone doing something cool" I mean "I'll do it maybe once a month or so."

[edit] Umm..Wow. I just managed to come off as an rp snob in that post, and at the same time said "No, I'm not going to rp."

Having played in a fairly RP-active guild/alliance in DAoC, I can say that not all RP is bad. I don't mind it and I can see having a good time as a Tauren especially in a Tauren-only or Tauren-heavy guild.

I vote for PopTart or Rasix,  because guild leaders should always be women.  And, anyway, I suspect Haemish wouldn't want the job.  I could be wrong... it's not like SB or anything.
