With the announcement of 1.7 in testing and the previous annoucement of RP-PVP servers being released at the same time as 1.7 is  rolled out to live, how many people are really interested in starting a new guild on one of the massively overcrowded RP-PVP servers?

Not for the rp, but it seems like it may entice the type of people I'd like to play with (Mature, but competitive....And at the very least, moderately interested in the game world/lore).

Even though I don't arr pee, I actually think the rp-pvp is a really good idea and well over due.  I do think, however, that it will end up being very over-crowded.

I'm in, but I do have doubts about the matrity of the whole thing - a new PvP server will be a crush as every disaffected player re-rolls with dreams of being an unstoppable ganking machine.  I doubt the RP label will change that.

But hey regular people to play with will make it fun.

The people on Earthen Ring are older, though perhaps not more mature than those on Tichondrius. However, the bulk of them share a desire for a degree of 'immersion' such that they tend to pick more reasonable names, and tend to report names that are not reasonable. That's my only real interest in an RP server anyhow. There are more exploiter/griefer types on RP and PvE servers than there are on PvP servers. The rule set actually encourages and protects it. RP-PvP will be a good thing overall.

My guild will probably roll alts there. The current theme seems to be a troll-only guild.

I proposed a guild composed of nothing but tauren shaman and undead rogues, but I was shouted down. /sadface

Myself and a few of the guys from my guild are talking about rerolling on the RP-PVP server. I think we would probably roll horde if we did. Not sure how you guys feel about that, but if we do, it is a very decent bunch of guys. So we could all group together.

I do think it will be mega-crowded when they fire the server up, but that seems to stop after the initial happy of something new wears off for WoW's jaded player base.

I think it will be decent though if we get organized at give it a try.

I thought you were refering to in game voice overs but now I've seen the ugly side of it.  Adding 'mon' on the end of everything and dropping 'h' is not rp.  It's annoying and should be bannable.  For god's sake at least spend ten minutes googling rastafarianism and add something.

I'm still Horde though - even troll rp is better than elfs, scottish drunken dwarfs, and gay happy gnomes

It's too hard to hide in shadows with the horns, and the clippy-cloppy feet.  Which is a shame, because they're masters of disguise!
