Well it was a valid point but since this was posted in the gaming forum not buried away somewhere else, it isn't.
Move along, nothing to see here.

Sounds cool. I liked Arx Fatalis a lot, wish I could have fixed my FoV issues because it made me a bit nauseous to play after a little while.
Bring back HoMaM, beesnachos! But more like 1/2/3 and not craptastic 4.

The Worlds first First-person Fantasy action Game.
So they plan on either a) pretending Morrowind didn't exist, or b) not putting any RPG aspects in it.

Woops, forgot about that! I do hate Gaming For Dummies, though... In addition we're trying to make the game a bit faster to play, and easier to understand for new players
when you play the game you'll notice that a lot of stuff you had to click on or read before is gone. In general everything will be easier to digest. And RTS (they say the old TBS style is still in, thankfully...I despise RTS)... The new mode will not be real-time, but close to it. I do like Nival, so hopefully it'll be cool. I should go back and finish Evil Islands some day, that game was cool in quirky way (classic nival, though).

Maybe it was just me, but that was a huge font. It is better now. Carry on.

For a complete derail: If that's who I think it is in your avatar, Sky, then I've partied with that dude several times. Nice pic!

I forgot to make it 7pt, it was size=7 ;) Silly typo, but I figured one or two people might get an odd forum page before I fixed it two seconds later. Stray - it's the bassist for Rev Horton Heat. Been digging on rocka/psychobilly lately.

What I thought. I had a friend who knew him really well, but I didn't exactly befriend him myself. Probably should have. The dude's a riot. Never met the Rev though.

Jimbo is a scream. I saw them back in '93, opening up for Frank Black's first solo tour. Had never heard them before then, but was just blown away by the music and by Jimbo's acrobatics with the standup bass. Have 3 of their albums and love them. I keep seeing a beef commercial that sounds like them playing the jingle. Is that possible?

I saw them at this show, which has in subsequent years become modern rock garbage. But back then, seeing Horton live blew my mind, I hadn't heard of them. Love 'em now. And seeing the awesome Toadies and Butthole Surfers, the Surfers were one of my favorite punky acid bands when I was a skater. Best line of the night, from Gibby of the Surfers: "Ok, we played Pepper, now everyone go home so our hardcore fans can enjoy the rest of the show." So true...and they did leave and we did enjoy the show, even if it wasn't as good as seeing them in the mid-80s in a bar with the whole band tripping face (and me too!), with Gibby just staring at his effects rack, I was in the first row and was able to watch everything he did because it was right on the edge of the stage. Crazy stuff, literally. I remember nothing of the show beyond that, though...too bad.

I mentioned Gibby before, I think. The Surfers started up not too far from where I grew up. I never got to see them in their heyday (I was like barely born and stuff), but my brother turned me on to them when I was real young. The first show I ever went to was one of theirs. Definitely a very screwed up event. They didn't play for long (more like "barely"), but I don't think I've seen a better show than that (it involved a shotgun, if that gives any indication).
Funny that you mention the Toadies. The same guy who hung out with Jimbo hung out with the singer of that band too. I wasn't quite star struck though. I never could get into that band.

Ubi did okay by Cyan, so maybe I'll be curious about this. Although there's not really any action in the Myst games, in Exile when that crazy hippie guys scalped me the first time, my heart did skip a beat. But not in the good way.
On a semi-related note, John Spencer Blues Explosion.

They're pretty cool, haven't heard much of their stuff.
Oddly, though I'm digging all this uptempo rockabilly style lately...the song I've been working on is the Rain Song by Zep. I'm fucked up, imo.

Now I Got Worry is a cool first album to get. The newer stuff, not so much (not bad either....Just too polished or something. Worry sounds like shit --- and it is good ).

I rather like Orange and Acme. 'Brenda' is prolly the greatest song on Orange, imo.
