BF2 Ranked Server Admin ProgramLock and load! Playing on ranked servers is about to get a lot more fun! We're pleased to announce the Planet Combat Network Ranked Server Admin program, which has been designed and implemented by Planet Combat and will be coming to you on EA Official Servers worldwide. This unique system will allow all players the opportunity to moderate the experience they are having on our servers and have a positive impact on the communities in which they play. As well as servicing the EA Official Servers, you will also encounter Planet Combat teams on NVIDIA servers, Zboard servers, and Game Daemons servers. Starting immediately the Planet Combat Admin team will begin to enforce about players breaking the EA's Terms of Service (which all users accepted upon creating their BF2 account), including those exploiting the stat system -- medic cheaters we're looking at you! -- or others exhibiting obnoxious behavior. Players breaking the Terms of Service are subject to kicks, short-term bans and even system-wide permanent bans. Additionally, exploiters will have their stats busted down by EA's Customer Support team. Our thanks to the Planet Combat team for creating and administrating the program, which should have a profound impact on the end-user playing on EA, nVidia, Zboard and Game Daemons servers. Can someone explain what a medic cheater is?

I'd imagine someone who shoots/ kills a teammate to get the bandage/ revive points. 2 Accounts sitting at an uncapturable base instead of fighting would really rank-up quick.

You lose points for TKing when you do it that way even if they forgive you. The normal way involves 3 or 4 people split between the two sides.

Furiously and I figured you could do it with a shared 3rd account- find a low pop ranked server, have 1 player and the shared account spawn on one side, and the other player spawn on the other side. Single player kills shared account, teammate resses him for points. Continue ad nauseum.
If the ranks after Lance Corporal weren't so outrageously hard to get (I have played probably 15-20 hours since becoming a LC and am about 13% of the way to Corporal), people wouldn't be as tempted to cheat. And cheating is the only way those fuckers got their ~40k points already.

Or helicopters, which should show why people do things like start nerf threads...
I've played around 12 hours on ranked servers, and I'm at about 600 points. I just don't play enough, I guess. Doing the "find a server" dance gets old fast for me, though I love the game. It really makes me appreciate Planetside's mmo-style server arrangement.

This is one of the big reaons I signed-up for X-fire. It keeps track of the servers I've played on and what my current pings are to them (If they're up and running.) So I use it to connect after logging in.

I think I will start using Xfire just for that- I can usually find a good server, but I would like to have some consistency.

I find myself on the ECGNetwork servers quite a bit, because I like to play on the whole map, only doable with 64-player servers, but I've got to deal with ~120ms pings and their servers aren't on a regular reboot, so sometimes they are unplayably laggy.
It's still utter nonsense, guess I should look into xfire (and reinstalling TS2, but with the new girl over a lot, I don't want you guys creeping her out...yet ;)).
