Gamers eager to handle Agent 47's piano wire again are going to have to sit tight until next year. Eidos has confirmed that both Hitman: Blood Money and Lara Croft's new outing, Tomb Raider: Legend, have been delayed until early 2006.
But while the hold-up is disappointing, it does have its advantages.
The delays mean that gamers can expect better experiences from the next Hitman and Tomb Raider games. Eidos told MCV that the games have been given more time in development to "maximise their hit potential".
Lara's last game, Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness was widely believed to have been rushed out to meet financial demands and it suffered as a result, earning poor reviews and passing by many game buyers.
The delays will, however, particularly annoy Hitman fans who have seen the new instalment's release slip by nearly a year from its original spring date.
