I was in CompUSA yesterday, on the off chance they might have a box.  Fortunately they didn't, since my gamestop.com order should arrive today or tomorrow.

They had the prima strategy guide, so I flipped through it.  Looks pretty nice, as strategy guides for MMOGs go.  I don't, however, understand the need for a guide in a game like CoH.  Aside from the location of all the task force mission givers, and possibly some info on what resists various npcs have, I don't know what you'd really want.

There's zone maps, but I don't see those as particularly necessary, even for hazard zones.  Granted, I've only been to Perez, and that just seems to be an area where either you find your way, or you're hosed.

Is there just a knee-jerk response from some portion of the playing population that necessitates buying these things for every game?

I traded in my fun blog for several legal blogs. Or, "blawgs," as the cutesy attorney blawgosphere likes to call 'em.

You gotta have something to read during the bio breaks! Nothing better than gaming guides in the 'reading room'.  Just don't try to return them to Brentano's.
