Skinny-dippin' in a sea of Lee, I'd propose on bended knee...

I find if amusing that she wouldn't "get them out" for Sin City, but she wore a see-through shirt to the MTV movie awards of all things. I have many pictures of high quality Alba nipples. Maybe I'll put them up somehwere... She didn't wear a see-through shirt to the MTV awards, she made the mistake of wearing a blouse with material that flash photography illuminated a bit more than she liked. Same thing happened to Kerry's daughter at Cannes, if I recall correctly. I thought Kerry's daughter's mistake was the choice of her underwear.

Delaying Fantastic Four a week to avoid War of the Worlds pays off big time for Fox: 'Fantastic Four' Snaps Hollywood SlumpAssuming the $56 million holds up tomorrow that's better than Batman Begins did on it's opening weekend ($48.7 million) though BB opened on a Wednesday so you can't really make a direct comparison.

FF - a comic book on screen. Literally. Poor dialogue, plot and the plausbility a 7 year old would believe. I have an imagination - but some effort to make things rational would be appreciated. I doubt the plot in the film would even be a passable graphic novel.
Spoken like someone who hasn't read a comic book ever. They range from shitty to better than almost any other entertainment medium. It all depends on various factors, writers, inkers, if management forces a storyline on the writer, etc. You mean there are variables? Jesus you are a pundit.

I mean really, if you're smart and its a sheer fabric, either wear a strapless bra or take some shots of it at home first. I guess I'm talking about Alba though, and she doesn't strike me as rocket science material.

I like Ebert. I liked this paragraph in particular. And the really good superhero movies, like "Superman," "SpiderMan 2" and "Batman Begins," leave "Fantastic Four" so far behind that the movie should almost be ashamed to show itself in the same theaters.
He's just as sick of it as we are. Listen up, Hollywood. There is NO EXCUSE for these shitty superhero movies. THEY CAN BE DONE WELL. FIGURE IT OUT.

I generally like Eberts written reviews, I disagree with him frequently but I can at least see his reasoning unlike with a lot of critics. He's a fan of action movies and will often give an action movie 2.5/3 stars just because it had a single good idea or well done scene in it, which for an action movie makes it worth seeing.

I read eberts reviews but you really have to pay attention to what he is saying. Some times he will like a movie for inexplicable reasons such as he really liked the phantom because it was "colorfull".
The one thing I do like about his reviews is he usually goes into enough detail so you can tell if you probably would like the film or if he is just having one of those weird days.

I never liked Wolverine much...
The jury is out whether your are unique or in need of therapy :-D Wolverine is the most overused, trite, badly-written, over-exposed, stupid fucking clown shoes of a character in comics today. He is fucking stupid. I would like to stab in the face the person who thought it would be a good idea to put him in the Avengers in addition to being in all the X-Men books AND his own solo book. NO CHARACTER NEEDS THAT MUCH EXPOSURE, especially one as one-dimensional as Wolverine. As for best comic movies, I'll agree on the Crow, and thought Hellboy was good. But X2, Spider-Man 2, Batman Begins and Sin City are easily the best ever done, each for different reasons.

Saw the movie yesterday with my boy. I liked it. The movie is not setup as an adult comic book movie, but for the kids, like I was expecting. I enjoyed the hell out of Ben Grimm and Johnny Storm. Doom was alright, but nothing overly wow. If Batman had lost the handy cam for the fighting, I would rank it higher than F4, but right now I like F4 better. The movie is not Sin City, but then it was never aiming at that mark. I like it. Obviously I will be in the minority with the Ebert crowd, but oh fucking well.

Netflix it when you get a chance then. Scarlett Johansson, Buscemi....Directed by Terry Zwigoff (who did that crazy R. Crumb documentary). Great flick. Daniel Clowes wrote the comic (if you're familiar with Fantagraphics type stuff, then that's his thing).

I liked Blade 2 (3 sucked, the first one was okay except for that Blood God shit). I'm tempted to say TMNT was good except I haven't watched it in a long time. Going throught this list though I'm reminded of a lot more crap than good. The amount of times I saw Howard the Duck used on cable caused me brain damage as a youth (when I didn't know better than to watch it).

Oh, can I ask why we're referring to it as the FF4? Where's the second F coming from if we're throwing in the 4 at the end?
I wondered how long it would take before someone noticed that.
