It turns out the leader being the only one who gets the enhancment for completing the task force is a bug. Here is positrons statement on what the rewards should be.

Everyone should have recieved a Single Origin Enhancement 3 levels above themselves, NOT a single level 10 Enhancement.

That is a VERY nice reward for the task force if you actually get it Single origin enhancments are a HUGE boost and to get one that early is sweet.

Cool, that really makes the level 14 task force worth doing.

So when is it going to be fixed?

Did you guys actually do the entire 10 hour task force?  Or was it shorter?  I wanted to go but I had to come to work today and couldn't do all ten hours...

Oh, Schild, I thik I figured out how to get the kill Dr. Vahzilok mission.

Science origin, starting in Galaxy city.  The mission arcs are different for different starting zones.  Color me impressed.  Apparently some are more different than others, but so far I am doing a lot of missions linked to finding out the identity of dr vahz.  I don't have that much to go on yet, but it seems like the mission arc I am on.

In beta when we completed the level 14 task force mission, I got one DUAL origin enhancement for something like dizzy duration for tech/magic or some other combo that NOBODY in our task force had.  It was lame.  Then we got a badge as a souveneir that was neat and told the whole story but it vanished when we quit the task force.  It was very buggy.

I got a mission with Vohlizok in Beta. Aslan and I turned and ra.... we faced him down until all hope was lost, faced him some more, then did a very leisurely and organized withdrawal. Anyway, I did Atlas city, with the same char I did now. I'm thinking that what contacts you choose and what missions you take determine this kind of thing more than origin/starting location.

I was on last nights task force, we didnt get to do the whole thing thanks to a bug, we did 6 of the 10 hours, we were about 4 mission shy of completing it before the bug got us and we could go no farther

It was great fun, slightly anticlimatic thanks to the bug

Warning about Task Force missions

Right now there is a bug with Task Force missions that if the group's leader goes offline for ANY REASON the Task Force will apparently end at the end of the current mission they are on.

I am doing my best to compensate those characters who invested time in the Task Force only to have it finish prematurely. We are datamining for characters who completed more than 50% of the task force and I will see that they receive the reward they were due. Once the updater is updated with a message about this problem you will be doing the task forces AT YOUR OWN RISK. Only if you have a very stable connection, and there are no planned server downtimes should you attempt to lead a TF. Even then there are no guarentees.

The fix is in the works, but its more than a hot-fix can handle. It is going to need some internal testing first.

I'd like to personally apologize to the users for this bug. I had received a couple reports in beta about this happening, but every time I tried to recreate it, everything worked fine. It fell into the category of "Can not reproduce".

I'd also like to thank the Legion supergroup on Virtue who were kind enough to stay in the "broken" Task Force long enough for us to figure out exactly what happened.

If you feel you are due compensation and are not going to be logged on for extended periods of time, PLEASE have an empty enhancement inventory slot so you can receive your reward.

The best part of SWG was the easy account cancellation process.

I have a question about taskforces...

Do I have to be a '10-consecutive-hour' capable catass to do these?  I mean, they sound neat, but I have a hard time spending more then 4-5 hours doing one thing at my computer before I have to stop.  Never mind the desires of my spouse, which mostly mean that 4-5 uninterrupted hours at the computer are relatively rare, nevermind 10+ hour long stretches.

Is there some way to pause and come back later, or something?

Yes, it's a series of missions, so it should be possible to stop at any point and then pick up again later.  But apparently that's not currently working.

I will give their devs credit they seem to be pretty upfront if somthing slips past them and willing to try to make things right. Also for a smaller company they appear to have gotten a polished mmrpg to market and their billing system even appeared to work correctly on opening night. Today and tomorrow will probably be bigger tests though.

Have the rewards for Task Forces been fixed?
Has the leader drop bug been fixed yet?

I want to do all my task force missions for sure and don't want to level past any of them before they are working.  I am not in danger of that at all, but if it takes awhile I could be.

Let's just say the level 15+ Task Force wasn't working last night.  Schlid, Blue Bomb, Dark Dryad and I tried and ended up just getting screwed.  Didn't get to finish the TF and didn't get any reward.  And I wanted to die to the Clockwork King...
