When WoW brings in artifacts it will probably be the death rattle of the game for me. Just like ToA.

It's just another color class of item. I think you'll only start seeing a lot of them whenever the level cap is raised.

I think I'll probably end up quitting when the only way for me to advance is to hit dungeons that require more than 5 people to complete. Seriously, fuck that noise.

They're supposed to be once-in-a-lifetime drops.  I don't think they'll get any more common even if the level cap raises.  They'll just make new artifacts that do foo * 2 damage, but not make the other ones any more common.

Time for a dupe bug, yo.

Pretty sure this was the result of a bugged quest (giving the wrong reward) and it is going to be a reward from some insane sulforon-esque quest from Blackwing (the next raid instance).  I think this was on FoH recently.  Then again, I could be on crack again.

This post makes me want to squeeze into my badass red jeans.

Nope, its actually a reward from a Molten Core string.  Dont count on seeing very many of them EVER.

First, you need to get 2 halves of a tome/rune or something (very low percentage drop off the last few bosses in MC).  Then you need to turn it in to get a quest.  THEN you need 10 or so special Ingots (which are made from a metal ingot drop that ONLY occurs off of Golemagg (our Guild has, i think, 1 of these things, out of like 20+ runs through molten core.) THEN you need to figure out how to smelt them (rumor has it that the guy who teaches how to smelt them is a rare spawn in some godforsaken place (possibly Blackwing Lair).  And I think THEN you finally get to make the item.

Supposedly, it has something to do with the once per server quest to open the Scarab Wall, allowing you into the instance/zone for the lower half of Sithilus.

Wow, that doesn't sound even the least bit fun. And people complain that there isn't enough for catasses to do?

It's hand of ragnaros which requies the ingots from golemagg + a lot of other whack materials ( http://www.thotbott.com/?i=40119 ), the recipe for that hammer is gained by turning in 1 golemagg ingot to a guy in BRD. Then you need a drop from Ragnaros ( http://www.thotbott.com/?sp=21160 ).

The sword, which as already stated sucks ass for every class that can even use it, requies 2 quest items from 2 bosses in MC which are 5% drop rate. Then you need 10 Elementium Bars which is made from 10 Arcanite Bars ( current market price on my server 33g each for those ), 1 Fiery Core which drops from thrash mobs in MC and 3 Elemental Flux which is bought from vendor for 13g 50s. So in a grand total it costs like 3705 + the Fiery Cores which your guild most likely will supply.

There's a Legendary necklace as well ( http://www.thotbott.com/?i=38094 ).

Also I'm pretty certain these are Legendary and not Artifacts. For 3 Artifacts to apear before even 1 Legendary is found, while Legendary is supossed to be more common, seems highly unlikely. And the fact that Artifacts supossedly are going to relate to the WoW universe in some way while for example that necklace seems to be pretty much just plain olé loot. Rumor has it the first Artifact is going to be an item to slam at the gong in sourthern Silithus, which will open up the raid content in the instance there ( which I can't remember the name of ) for the entire server, that's just a rumor though.

edited some really ugly typos :o

Our guild just got it's second Sulfuron Ingot in about 3 months of MC raiding. If I'm not mistaken that makes for a grand total of 5 on the server.
