I find everything about this story fantastic.  In every sense of the word.

Wonder if the mother wears a big red A on her dress.

That's a whole bunch of stuff to digest in one story.

1) The father is 37 years older than the mother. Literally more than twice her age, and he's already a grandfather.
2) He had an affair with this woman.
3) An Amish dude married this 30 year old woman knowing full well the child isn't his, and he's only 25.
4) The Amish don't want the baby raised on the outside of their culture.
5) The father was basically screwed over on even seeing his child.

I'm guessing the reason the mother won custody is because she is younger and didn't cheat on a previous spouse. However, she was involved with this 25 year old apparently before the affair, or maybe even during. All people involved in this story are really stupid.

- The woman is stupid for getting into bed with a married man who wasn't even Amish and then not expecting something bad to happen.
- The father is stupid for having an affair when he's a freaking grandfather. That's just low.
- The new husband is stupid for thinking this woman isn't major trouble from the get-go, but he still married her.

All in all, I agree, good stuff for useless news.

So even the Amish have pyscho hosebeast women?

Not that there's necessarily anything wrong with raising the child as Amish, since it's the mother's choice. But yeah, the father has some visitation rights, or should, even though he sounds like complete slime. What kind of Amish woman bangs a guy twice her age who isn't even Amish AND is married?

Did she actually have consentual sex? I don;t know what the Amish take on rape is, but maybe she would've gotten in just as much trouble either way and didn't want the added shame.

I'm just trying to turn this into a Lifetime made-for-tv movie. But no more Melanie Griffith. She makes my skin crawl.

Wait, Witness had Harrison Ford. What was the movie with ol' Crooked Face Grifftih? Wasn't there a movie where she tried to seduce a monk or something?

Edit: God my google-fu is slow. A Stranger AMong Us.
