I also want the whole MST3K catalogue to come out instead of these 4 volume sets they dribble out (although there is good stuff on them).

I just remembered that I forgot to comment on this while reading Trippy's comments about redist of old shows. .

My local radio station talked to the voice of Tom Servo a few months back when the "Mannos/ Santa conquers Mars" DvD came out.  He explained that there's a LOT of calls to bring out the whole series on DVD, and they'd love to do that, but there's one snafu.  The contracts signed with the producers of the movies when MST3k originally obtained the rights only allowed for TV broadcast.  Buying TV series back in the 90s wasn't even something people considered so redistribution rights weren't included.

As a result, they have to renegotiate contracts for DVD/ VHS distro of each and every episode.  Some people they just plain can't find again, and others are a bit touchy that their hard work was ripped to shreds and don't want to sign.  So, we get the dribbles as they're able to renegotiate the ones the fans really want to see again.

I suspect this is also part of the reason we haven't seen Batman on DVD yet.  I'm sure WB would have LOVED to tie-in a DVD release of the original series with the new movie. I also suspect Adam West is holding out for a very large piece of that pie, and so it probably won't happen until he kicks-off.

That makes a lot of sense and is a real shame.  You'd think the dopes who made those dogs would want to eek out some more money on them. Wonder when they would become pubic domain. Probably 2225 under the new copyright laws.

Max Headroom

Obviously the master tapes where sent twenty minutes into the future and nobody can find them anymore, because I saw that once as a child and it has never been repeated on Television since then. I would kill somebody for those DVDs, preferably somebody who decided not to show it on German TV anymore.

Bravo used to replay Max Headroom.

I'd like to see some other good cancelled-by-Fox shows come out, such as Brimstone or John Doe. Of course, I'd love it if they just actually finished filming a movie of John Doe that explained who he was.

Speaking of Fox shows, I would like to see Parker Lewis Can't Lose on DVD.  Everytime I watch Scrubs, I always think about that show for some reason.

As for Misfits of Science, Courtney Cox was such a cutie back then.

There's nothing at all wrong with her now, as far as I am concerned.

Lost in Space season three with decent redigitalization.  The crap available now looks like something off a news reel.  The first season collection looked good though. (second season, what second season... tongue)

Quote from: Getting It
Buffy's Breast Moods
Like the Mona Lisa's face, Buffy's breasts portray subtle shifts in human emotion. Viewed from different angles, they can suggest everything from cruel temptation to delirious plenitude. Here are some of their more common forms:

Action Breasts: Tight T-shirt-encased breasts that whiz by as Buffy kicks vamps in the face.

Chosen One Breasts: Softly lit globes with a cross dangling between them, generally featured in scenes with Mom or Giles.

Temperamental Breasts: When Buffy has to do yucky things like go to class, these pouty breasts swell capriciously beneath a silky, spaghetti-strap top. Nipple seekers take note: Here's the time to look for that elusive hint of erect nips.

Danger Breasts: Usually framed by the v-neck of a teeny leather jacket, these are the muscle-reinforced breasts that jiggle menacingly when Buffy aims her stake.

Let's try to get this back on track.

I'd like to see "Puttin' on the Hits" on DVD. That was great 80's television.

I also wouldn't mind seeing Morton Downey Jr's show on DVD.

I finally remembered the name of a show I really liked that got cancelled:  The Ben Stiller Show.

Then I looked around and found out it is already out.  I fear if I go to Best Buy and just browse the TV series section I will wind up spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars.

I got the Ben Stiller show from the library a couple weeks back. The series wasn't as funny as I remembered it. Because of that I worry that "The State" won't be as funny as I remember it.
