If they can figure out some sort of switchblade for when they get caught in tuna nets, there will be no stopping them.

That's nothing...  There is a certain species of crab that picks up sea anemone's in it's claws and waves them at fish, causing the fish to be stunned by the anemone's fronds, and thus making an easy meal for the crab.

Life isn't better, just a lot wetter, under the sea.

I liked it when the den was open it was funny to watch the arguements really degenerate once a thread had been denned

A nation consists of its laws. A nation does not consist of its situation at a given time. If an individual's morals are situational, then that individual is without morals. If a nation's laws are situational, that nation has no laws, and soon isn't a nation.

Over the course of a week, I got about 50 private messages swearing the Den was THE DEVIL.

That said, people forget they don't have to read EVERYTHING. Well, they do, but then can pretend all they saw was gibberish.

Oh goddammit. I was gonna link an old article from the Onion about dolphins evolving opposable thumbs ("Holy Fucking Shit", Says Scientific Community), but their archives aren't online anymore. And y'all have already read it. Oh, well.

If you guys like this kinda shit you should check out Weird NAture on the Science Channel. There's somekind of shrimp or crab that can cock its claw back like a pistol and fire a blast of water (or sound waves?) at a fish, stunning it.

I thought humans were supposed to "uplift" them! Now they do it on their own? The chimpanzees, too, then?

Sundiver, though being part of the Uplift universe, is really a nice sci-fi whodunnit. Even if you skip the rest of his works, read that. I compare it to Asimov's The Caves of Steel, which is also more crime literature than sci-fi.
