There has yet to be a show on the air that can constantly put me in a laughing fit better than Scrubs.

Remember the one where the janitor asked JD if he was stealing toilet paper?

JD: No, I use one of those French things.
Janitor: A bidet?
JD: Bidet to you, sir. (walks off briskly)

God, that still makes me chuckle.

Odd, because I find it distinctly unfunny and annoying.  I was just thinking that last night.

Witty banter not included.

I think the same thing. I can't really think of a show on the air that has me laughing nonstop. I like a mess of comedy shows, but I like my comedy pointed and specific. And uncommon. I want it to blindside me. I've been told to watch "House" for such a thing. But It's too far into the first season for me to do anything but wait for the DVDs.

It's a type of humor you love or you hate. There was a scene in the recent episode when JD is daydreaming about why he's closing a window to seal in information which segues into a messenger monkey making a run for that window in a little hat. Completely bizarre, but primetime comedy is so formulaic to me, i welcome the weird.

That one was on last night, too. Hilarious! And then Eliot's like, "I don't have a messenger monkey".

The best part of that show is all the cut-to-JD-daydreaming sequences.

Family Guy. Venture Bros (takes a few episodes to really get into it, then it's halirous as all-get-out).

And don't forget the Red Green Show! (bleh)

The Shield is the best thing on TV in my book.

A nation consists of its laws. A nation does not consist of its situation at a given time. If an individual's morals are situational, then that individual is without morals. If a nation's laws are situational, that nation has no laws, and soon isn't a nation.

The Shield was really good last night. I was starting to get worried because the first couple episodes of this season didn't do all that much for me, but now a whole bunch of plot lines are either forming or accelerating. It seemed like a really long episode too, in a good way. A whole lot of stuff happened.

I'm glad Aceveda (however you spell it) is still taking an active role, and Glen Close is a pretty good ice queen.

By 'active role' to you mean gearing up to start raping prostitutes?

Glenn Close is kicking some ass this season, but I wish Shane would just get the fucking axe already. God that guy is an asshole.

Shane is going to get gacked this season, I can almost guarantee it. I'd lay even odds on either Vick or the blonde cop putting the cap in him. Acevedo is just a tragic story arc, because it seems like he wants to do good, wants to be an angel, but he's just as flawed as Vick, only in a different way.

I didn't mention Venture Bros., but I'm quite happy to find out that they are getting 13 new episodes at some point. That show is one of the best Adult Swim has ever done. But then most of the Adult Swim cartoons are so good, I can watch the episodes 10-20 times and still laugh. They need new Harvey Birdman's bad, though.

Speaking of Adult Swim, I miss Space Ghost Coast to Coast. I can't find the DVD with Warren, the shrub that talks like an old black guy ("Listen! I can burn you like the Crazy World of Arthur Brown!"). Good times.

I wasn't a big fan of Space Ghost Coast to Coast, but they had one line there that has always stuck with me. Something about the catchphrase for a Retarded Kids Foundation: "We moisten your dreams with manurine."

That's one of those amazingly classic lines that still gets me to giggle.

Yeah, Space Ghost is one of those shows that can be totally meh one time and brilliant another. But when it's on, it's spot-fucking-on.

And all the Brak songs are great, too. Especially the one about potatoes and the one about samwiches.

For you sports fans that have a tivo, or a wierd work schedule, check out Pardon the Interuption on ESPN.  Watch a week (it is a daily 30 min show) and you will be converted.

Also like Amazing Race, Lost, Arrested Development (they better not cancel it), Battlefield Detectives, Good Eats, BSG.

This week's Deadwood was GOOD.  Limited amount of Shakespearean dialogue and most of it was before 3 people got murdered.

Somewhat related, I just ordered this shirt.

Yeah, Wolcott had a bit of a nutty. Who is gonna bump him off eventually? Will he and Bullock have a showdown, or will Dan give him an extra-low smile ala Crop Ear?

Oh, and Ms. Isringhausen is a freak. I bet Adams is enjoying the ride.

Did anybody watch that Revelations thing NBC was running? I had it on in the background, but I was gaming. I saw some kid in a coma talking and an evil looking dude cut off a finger. Was it any good? My impression was boredom.

It looks like Charlie's at least going to beat the holy piss out of him next episode.  W needs to die,  so does Cy. But Cy's going to be sticking around for quite a while considering he's the only really despicable evil force at work in the camp right now.  Al's evil, but in a likeable fashion.

As for who gets Wolcott? Hmmm, Joanie will do it.  Al won't do it because he doesn't want Hearst moving directly against him.  I'd like to see it happen in a way that puts due pressure on Cy, possibly having Hearst's wrath brought down upon him, but Cy's a slippery one.  God I hate that bastard.  The day he actually gets something negative happen to him where he's just not cock of the walk by the next scene, I will jump up and cheer.

It's funny that the same actor can end up playing two characters that everyone wants to see dead (Jack McCall, Wolcott).  Next season he'll likely come back as some sort of serial livestock rapist.

SGCtC was made worthy in the annals of time merely through single, unforgettable episodes, like Knifin' Around.

I approve of Venture Bros.

Family Guy is unforgettable, and the DVD sales were good enough to penetrate dense skulls at Fox and make them realize that they had made a mistake.

I will second House and Boston Legal, basically as character shows.  House just for the lead character's sarcastic assholery, and Boston Legal just for shatner.  If either proceed too far down any character arc they could both easily kill the best things about their shows.

Noooo. . that's the best part of the (truly excellent) show.  There's nothing like seeing an uneducated dirt farmer bust out with 'Perhaps you could alleviate the poverty of my ignorance by making an assay into the back and locating my shotgun'.  Fantastic acting.  Calamity's irritating.  Bullock needs to shoot more people.

My fav part was the quick cut to Buster's prescription bottle- "For hand pain (phantom)". It was so fast I had to rewind the TiVo and pause it. OMG I was rolling.

They tied up so many lose ends here...  Glad they showed why George Sr. is such a malevolent genius by shaving his brother down.  They had to get past George and his tea parties up in the attic eventually, this was a good way to do it.  Plus we get to see how Oscar reacts to prison life.  I don't think he'll dig it as much as George did.

Seeing Franklin get the Michael Jackson treatment saddened me.  That puppet cracked my shit up.  I'm incredibly glad that this show looks like it's going to get another season.  I think this is one of those sleeper hits that is just going to keep gaining viewership.  Shit, the first couple seasons of Seinfeld weren't exactly ratings bonanzas either, but you keep with it and a good show will eventually become a hit.
