Is Siren worth it?

It looks like Silent HIll meets Ringu. Has anyone played it? Should I plunk down the fifty?

When I played it.. I was VERY confused. The character swapping and need to use tactics more than anything else can throw you off. It's not your traditional RE style survivor game. I didn't play it for more than 30 mins, so I can't give you more than that.

I just suck, that's all. One of the unique features is that you can see through the eyes of the enemies by using one of the analog sticks (while holding another button, I think.) It's done in a radio frequency kind of way. If the monster is far, the vision you see is fuzzy and what not. This helps you determine how to get past patrolling zombies and what not. The only other thing I remember is that you can't kill the zombies. If you shoot them they fall down and stay down for a good 3-5 minutes, but get up soon after that to continue trying to kill your ass.

It's really fucking hard. Less confusing than Baten Kaitos - but at the very least - it's amazingly beautiful. Siren is, stylistically, one of the best looking games I've ever played.

Siren is neat, but really, really hard. It's incredibly unforgiving, and the english dub sucks.

It is however, very cool. The Japanese commercial for it actually got pulled for being too disturbing.
