Anyone seen this movie?  From 2000, but I don't know if that was the original or the dubbed version I saw tonight on showtime.

I would call it a mix between evil dead 2 and um.... something like crouching tiger I suppose.  It started pretty awful, but really grew on me.  I found the really bad parts damn funny so I didn't mind them at all, and some of the fights were quite fun to watch.

Still abit unsure about my final verdict, but very glad I saw it.

If you are bored and looking for something on TV it is on SHowtime B W (Whatever the B and W mean) tonight at 10:55 (EST), channel 268 in orlando brighthouse.  I don't know if these cable network stations have the same shows on their weird offshoots.

Also showing again twice next weekend.

Anyone seen this movie?  What were your opinions.  Weird flick.

I rented it a while back.  It didn't make much of an impression on me either way.  I vaguely remember that it had zombies and ninjas.

I gotta admit. I liked it in a schlocky sort of way. If I remember, it's by Ryuhei Kitamura. His movie "Alive" was much more successful. Though, arguably, once this girl appeared in the movie it turned to total shit. If you liked Versus at all, I highly suggest renting Alive (it's on Netflix or at your local chain).

Anyway, yea, Versus. Weird zombie click. I wish I could say more about it, but it didn't leave much of a mark other than the fact it showed Ryuhei Kitamura is a fantastic cinematographer.

I liked a lot of the fight scene camera work towards the end when they let the main character stop sucking.  The story was not told well, and the movie spent far too long in WTF-ville before it made any sense at all.   Still, glad I saw it.  Just tossing it out to anyone with showtime bored right now or bored next weekend.

I bought this on DVD just from what I had read about it and have never regretted the purchase. It's on of those movies I like to pull out on my friends just to see their reactions.

Have you tried the internet? It's made out of millions of people missing the point of everything and then getting angry about it

I loved the ending.  He has a sword with a laser scope on it.

Why a laser scope, you might ask?

So you can aim the sword better, dumbass!

Saw that one at a festival. For me it stayed in "WTF-Ville" most of the time, but I loved every minute of it.
