Hey, I realize that our little drama here has caused a bit of a rift, but something to put it all in perspective.....Arc's wife has been battling cancer while we squabble about the WTO meltdown.

There is a thread on corpnews where a full update is given, and Arc provides some comments.

I figured some of you that have chosen this particular side of the wall might want to know.

Bring the noise.

I was hoping Arc would update it at some point. I probably won't be able to make it over to Corp today, so could you summarize?

Basically she was diagnosed with a form of cancer that is typically untreatable, and often fatal. She had some extensive surgery to remove the cancer, prognosis is good, she is expected to recover. Arc said that he believes that prayers from hundreds of people really helped in the process.

He did post in the corpnews thread...and I know he is reading that one. So I figure rather than stick with the divisiveness of the two sites, on this occasion we direct folks to give their well-wishes over there.

Bring the noise.
Cheers...............

Thanks for the summary, I'm glad she's doing well. I would have gone over there and posted, but I usually only go once a day because I'm bored at work and don't hit the message boards much at night. Since I'm taking a half day of work, I won't make it there.

Please extend my well wishes as I'm banned from corpnews... tho, I'm sure if he realises we have a thread about this, he'll pop in and check.

So... just in case... Good luck to your wife, Arc, and yourself!  Hope everything goes well from here on!

1. I haven't "left" here. I like both sites. They're different enough approaches to the same topic to afford reading both.

2. I posted there because someone made a thread there and then someone else emailed me and said "wtf omg this thread?" so I posted. I hadn't seen one here.

3. the last of my having added to this thread shouldn't be construed as "Arcadian reads the other site now" - I think the idea of having to select one versus the other is El Tardo. Its like when a married couple breaks up,  and you intend to remain friends with both of them. While everyone else works out this nasty little divorce, I'm going to be friendly to both sides.

4. Thanks ALL for you thoughts and prayers. I'll update my own site soon enough. The problem the past month has been time/energy related only.

Best wishes Arc to your Mrs. on a full recovery.  I love my wife like nothing else on this earth and flip out inside when ANYTHING happens to her.  I am sure you have been through a lot.  Glad it is looking good.

My boss a work went through a similar thing with his wife a few years back.  She had brain cancer and they had to do some real scary shit to her to get it all out.  The odds given on surival of the surgery were not good but death was assured without it.  Such a fucking shitty place to be.  Thankfully she pulled through as well, and now my boss is a walking billboard for that medical crew.  I can't blame him.  They saved his wife's life.  That is some powerful shit.

Glad to see you are not treating those of us at F13 as leppers, hehe.
