So I resubbed to the DC service to check out the second season of Titans (bad call) and watched this on a lark, turned out to be fucking hilarious from start to finish.

Is that the one where she shacks up with Dick Grayson?

That trailer does look like fun though.

Apparently Syfy picked this up as well. 1st season is streaming on-demand; no DC service needed :)

The ties-up-Dick-Grayson-and-fucks-him one is the NOT good Harley Quinn cartoon; that and the animated version of Killing Joke are cases where they let Bruce Timm off the leash and his sexual fantasies got a bit too much air time. (In KJ, they decided to fix the problem of how Batgirl is treated in the original story by making her sexually fixated on Batman and getting to bang him before the Joker enters the story. Say what?)

This one's fucking hilarious. It plays really loose with the characters while still keeping them true to their cores.

Also, this...

Tuned in, immediately get to watch cringey Ubisoft talking head offering her deepest sympathies to the families impacted by the Orlando shooting while flanked by a man in a giraffe suit and some sort of "horrifically garish neon costumes through the ages" exhibit or something.  We need to stop this fucking planet right now and sort some shit out. -Kail

Is that Diedrich Bader doing Batman's voice? He's a great choice - he voiced Batman on the Brave and the Bold show which was a really good campy take on Batman a few years back.

3rd season this summer, and now they've backed a sequel/companion series featuring Kite-Man called Noonan's, centered on a dive bar for superpeople.

This is the season that caused the controversy over whether "heroes don't do that", with that being giving oral sex to women. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/batman-oral-sex-catwoman-harley-quinn-1234968296/

We'll have to see how that came out in the end. So to speak.

I'd love to see Marvel poke fun at this with a Thor Ragnarok scene with Thor popping up from between Thor's legs and mugging for the camera with his trademark 'because that's what heroes do'.

I’m a bit late to this party, but this is my new thing to watch during my morning baby routine, and I love it.  Everything I’d heard about it made me think of The Tick (the good one from the 90s) and now that I’ve seen more I have to think there’s some common DNA because the vibe is so similar.

HQ is certainly naughtier and occasionally rather a bit more cruel than The Tick, but yeah, it's got something of the same sense of humor. Also HQ reminds me of Freakazoid! a fair amount.

Also, there hasn't been a bad The Tick series. Both the original cartoon, live action and the recent remake were awesome.

I thought the one with Puddy was pretty bad, personally.  I just didn't buy him as The Tick at all -- not nearly manic enough.  The one with Brian Butterfield was significantly better, but the cartoon is still the best one.

The original Tick comics were a lot more violent -- they had the same zany sense of humor as the cartoon, but it was aimed at a more mature audience.  (edit: as an example, the Man Eating Cow in the comics does in fact eat people.)  Going back and reading those comics later gave me even more respect for the makers of the cartoon in that they'd managed to keep so much of what made the comic good while lightening it up to be more kid-friendly.

Anyway, HQ feels to me like what the Tick cartoon might have been if it hadn't been a kids' show, and of course if it'd been using DC IP.

Bane's season long pasta maker story arc is better than anything in any Batman comic I've reac.
