I install and delete a few games a week.  They all suck.

I play clash of cards daily still, because there's nothing better I can find.  Any mobile games with anything other than endless grind?  Any actual gameplay?

Why don't you try our other games?

I'm impressed with how terrible mobile gaming is. The single largest install base and nobody can make good games?

People would make good ones if people were willing to pay for them upfront.

If you have an iPhone there's the Apple Arcade with some decent games (Pinball Wizard: pinball with a wizard with rogue-like leveling) but they are very much arcade games without a lot of staying power.

Nothing but commercials with an interactive puzzle mixed in between.

Legends of Runeterra.

And maybe 7 Deadly Sins. Haven't played that one enough to know for sure.

Not a Hearthstone ripoff. Not much in common at all. Who told you that?

Just the way it looks and plays, with cards making cracks in the ground etc.  All the animations.  Looks the same as hearthstone.

I've been playing Runterra and enjoying it, though mainly vs. AI recently to do the quests. I think it's worth trying, and has lots of positives compared to other online TCGs.

It does look like Hearthstone but doesn't play like it. For one the defender choose blockers not the attacker, which already by itself makes it infinitely better than Hearthstone. It's F2P so give it try if you like CCGs. It's one of the better digital ones out there.

It rests firmly between Magic and Hearthstone. Power level is shit though. Nothing really feels amazing but the overall game is relatively satisfying.

I put LoR somewhere between Eternal and Hearthstone.

It's fun, there's strategy and it's less RNG in getting the cards you need apparently (I haven't dropped any cash on it and am very casual in how I play it).

Like Hearthstone it has a way to avoid mana screw that M:TG and Eternal don't.

I'm having fun with Exploding Kittens on the phone. The physical card game is fun and the online adaptation is excellent (although the sound effects piss my wife off while she is watching TV).

I've been having fun with Hades Star.  It's mostly an idle game with bursts of (slow) RTS game play.

Eternium is a surprisingly decent Diablo clone.

I've also been enjoying Shop Titans, but I don't think it would be everyone's cup of tea.

I am enjoying Knighthood on Android. Nice art style, but takes longer to load than I prefer. Also gets a bit grindy in the endgame, but it's managing to keep me around.

Think I have seen a few ads for that.  Thought it looked kind of neat.  Any resource gating (like energy required to do stuff refills over time and the like) or is it something you can just grind on infinitely from the start kind of deals?

They do gating with stamina for somethings, max number of tries per day for some types of activities, material requirements for leveling gear, and level/gear requirements on certain activities that are open early on. The grind is real in the endgame, but I find it complex enough to keep me playing daily.
