They always say death is instaneous in cases like this. Did they do research or something on death? I have a feeling getting eaten by a shark is just like going to sleep...in a giant blender.

Well if he was chomped straight in half in one bite, the aorta would be severed and hence I'd imagine death would be pretty much instantaneous.

Considering it takes several minutes for the brain to die I would assume he thought it quite a bit.

He probably lost conciousness pretty early on though, but I bet thats still plenty of time to realize what just happened.

Probably never felt it though, you would go into shock immediately.  Most of the people I've talked to who have suffered major injuries such as gunshot wounds have said they didn't feel the pain for several minutes.  My own personal experience is that getting injured doesn't hurt until after your brain has decided you have a good chance to live through it.

Really, that guy should be thankful. If he'd been bitten by a gila monster, he would have slowly died of incredible infections. Gila monsters harbor botulism, salmonella and E. coli in their mouths. They're immune to all the nasties and if you get even the tiniest nibble from one of those things, like, your whole leg will get infected and fall off. And I'm pretty sure they also give you AIDS and testicular cancer.

Probably, every calls me "Big mass of half-eaten bloody entrails".

I wonder how I'll go.
